Official NHL thread 2007-2008

We'll take all of them;)

on a side note, that Colorado/Minnesota game last night was the first real exciting game of the playoffs. business is about to pick up

You mean the game that had a 5-1 score?

????:dunno:

I'd say the Philly/Wash game was better. Philly prob has the best American crowd next to Buffalo.

i take the action into account as well. just going by the score doesn't make it exciting. there was damn near 200 penalty minutes in that game including 2 10 minute misconducts for Derek Boogaard.

im sure you didnt watch Montreal/Boston on tuesday night...a real playoff game

go habs go

Congrats to Flyer's fans. Every save Biron makes and every goal Briere gets is jab in the eye to those cheapskates(no pun intended) in the Buffalo Sabres front office. Good luck Grier, Brown, Campbell,Briere,Biron,Dumont,Drury.

an often very dirty player (Stevens), but that hit looked legal.

All I really want from the first round is for the Ducks to be eliminated and as a bonus, for Pronger to get laid out by someone.

I don't know if I would call Stevens dirty, maybe just a little. He definitely threw some of the great bone-crushing checks in modern NHL history, though. 90's NHL was the best. It has become so PC recently. :2 cents:

I personally think he was dirty. His elbow to the head of Lindros was just one example. The check he made in your link is fine, he appeared to use his shoulder. But have you ever felt an elbow pad, it's like a rock. You get hit in the head with that and you could die. He was famous for his cross ice elbows to the head. That isn't sport. That's dirty play, imo.

He wasn't even penalized for that hit, if I remeber correct. I don't recall that hit being that dirty; Lindros was just skating with his head down. It pissed me off at the time though because I thought the talent level of Lindros = endless possibilities. He was never the same.

On a side note, the Wild got beat but out played the Avs last night. If Theodore plays like that, they will be hard to beat. I look for a 7 game series there.

Try and figure Theodore? Sucks since the strike and now he's playing pretty well; though I still think he is a trap goalie.
