Well it's obvious for me....GO PENGUINS!!!!!! Stanley Cup coming home to Pittsburgh once again!!!!! The Red Wings are my 2nd fav team so even though I like them, the Pens are winning it this year!!! Everyone's saying the Red Wings are too good etc., but last time I checked the Penguins are that good also. Go Penguins, bring it home, it's been too long!!!!!!!

my point being allot of the redwings are pretty damn old!! but have maintaned their roster spot but eventually they will retire and trust me detroit has the YOUNG talent to replace the older guys when they retire!! so detroit is rotating its youth and experience only to be even better in the near future!! personally I didn't think the redwings could recover so quickly and or be as effective as they used to be without yzerman; shannahan; lapointe; fedorov; etc... but to my suprise the team has represented well despite all the player turn around!! pretty impressive I think!! personally I don't care for a finesse team; I really like the way the ducks are built!! big; tough; talented; ready to fight; in your face type hockey!!

I'm always amazed that the wings can always find good players year after year. I can't even remember them being bad in my lifetime, and even when others leave it always seems like they can find even more superstars to fill the gap. I can see why it would piss some fans of other teams off. If it goes on too much longer Detroit is going to virtually need their own section for their players in the hall of fame. Still the team has also highly underachieved for the past 20 years or so. Sometimes I look at the teams they have and the players they have had on some of their teams and think they should have won it all at least five or six more times over that period than they had.

hi since your post has nothing directly pertaining to (the cup finals) *I don't or won't jinx my team* and I don't *gloat or brag when my team is winning* and I don't *hide or dis-appear when my team loses*

so that said I will respond to your post like this!! IMO allot of those redwings teams in the past were great & had all-stars @ almost every position but they didn't have the right mix of motivated; strong desired players that would go balls out and do whatever it takes to win the cup; those teams lacked those gritty players that you need who will contribute and sacrafice themselve's @ a whole nother level than the other players!! they were simply to soft; allot of the players on those redwings teams lost their hunger!! allot of the players were unwilling to perform the way they used to before they won a cup!! why this happens I don't think anybody knows for sure!! just chemisty and a little bit of luck and staying healthy are all key ingredients to the recipe of winning lord stanley(s) cup!!

eric
hell yeah teams get pissed and our jealous of detroit!! they used to say we would buy our cups cuz our aggressive free agent signings before the salary cap was institueded and the trades we would make!! but I think I heard an actual fact that our last 1st round pick in a draft was MARTIN LAPOINTE in the early or mid 90's!! now our players are homegrown late round draft picks or others teams missed fortune's!! :rofl2: so what can they say now???

Tonight is the deciding game , if pitsburgh loses they are done but if they win I really don't know witch way the series is going to go . I hope the pens win , but I think even though they won the last game they didn't dominate enough to convince me they can win the cup . Well I guess we will have to wait and see .

The Detroit Red Wings will win

Whats up hockey fans
Damn it the pens just beat the wings in a very long game, triple overtime for those of you who are viewing this in the morning because you couldn''t stay up. Everybody is a pittsburg fan where I live, but I know somebody at freeones will support me and cheer my team with me!
The pens had a shitty start this round but the last two have been incredibly close, there may be a game seven.
I have gotten so used to seeing the Red Wings destroy their opponents, especially colorado, I am shocked to see this happeniing, why they loosing?

Re: The Detroit Red Wings will win

We have an NHL thread going on if you do a search.
With that said I hope Detroit loses the next game too and then wins at home.

The Pens got their asses handed to them. Detroit outplayed them tremendously. If not for Fleury...

He will not be able to stop another 60 shots or so.

Got the W & thats what matters. I hate both teams so dont think i like either one of them. I just want to see a series.

Yeah, I just want to see a series as well. But it's so lopsided. Frankly, the play was quite sloppy last night. A lot of falling; no real puck movement. :2 cents: Detroit is so much better though. And where is all this offense from Sid, Hossa and Malkin? :dunno:

Malkin has been ass lol. Fleury made some ridiculous saves last night. I especially loved the toe pad save. Osgood and him were being quite stingy but you would think some more scoring would be involved with these 2 teams.
