Word. Where's all those Manning defenders now?

If I had to guess, they're probably safely content that logic, rational statistical analysis, and empirical evidence sides with them. :dunno:

It's probably similar to the place Brady fans where when he played bad the first couple of games and some of the media people thought there might be a QB controversy in New England, when anybody with half a brain knew how ridiculous that was. :1orglaugh

It's like arguing against the Flat Earth Society, at some point one realizes there is not even a real debate to even discuss in the first place.

Word. Where's all those Manning defenders now? Dude's a fucking overrated pussy bitch.

I think Peyton will go down as the greatest QB of all-time. I don't feel the need to defend him though. I think his stats, winning percentage, and MVP trophies do that just fine.

That's also not really a point in debating this subject on a message board. Based on your previous statements, you don't seem like the kind of person who's open to hearing opinions different from your own. If you don't think Peyton is an all-time great, more power to you. I don't think anything I could say would convince you otherwise. Also, it doesn't particularly matter to me what your (or really anyone's) opinion of Peyton is. That's why I'm not defending him. What's the upside?

Sherman and Baldwin made complete fools of themselves yesterday with their silly, pathetic press conference. These spoiled rich brats need to shut their mouth. Last time I checked, these assholes don't have to play sports. They have a choice and go find work elsewhere. They signed a contract, they made an agreement with the NFL. You agreed to the terms, now abide to them. No one wants to hear your whining bitch ass complain anymore. These attitude and temper tantrums have become old, boring, and very childish. Grow up!

Revised QB rankings:

1) Touchdown Tommy Brady
2) Amazing Aaron Rodgers
3) Pizza Peyton Manning
4) Big Ben Roethlisberger
5......and dropping like a Bolder) Dull Drew Brees
6......and rising) Passing Phil Rivers

ON another topic, RG Scrub benched this week and it's about time.
They traded half their team to the Rams to give them what turned out to be 5 staters for this gimp who can't throw a ball into the Atlantic.
I hope McCoy turns into Joe Montana.

Getting a little tired of all the talk about J.J. Watt for league MVP. His team is only 6-6 and a long shot for the playoffs. Meanwhile, they've had 30 or more points scored on them 4 times this season.

Stop catching touchdowns and get back on the defense, J.J.!!!

That's the thing that gets me about the MVP award - should it go to the most outstanding player in the league or to the one who helped his team the most? In the latter case aren't there team MVPs awarded for that?

And for as much as it's stressed that this is a team game why is so much emphasis placed on MVP or at all? For instance, a QBs success depends on his pass protection, the receiver getting open and/or making a catch. If anything, a defensive player's accomplishments are more impressive because it depends less on what his teammates are doing - a pass rusher shedding a block and getting to the QB or a DB in man to man coverage making the play.

I remember a MNF game years and years ago. Packers vs. Raiders. Favre's dad had just died. Favre threw like 4 TD passes in that game. In almost every one of them he was throwing into double or triple coverage and the receiver made a spectacular catch. Yet Favre got all this praise heaped upon him.

Whatever. I don't even fucking care.

Kaepernick and all his tattoos are shitting the bed like a 3 year old.

Say goodbye to Harbaugh, as well.

On the Philly fans as Sherman and Baldwin most likely heard a ear full from the worst fans in America two clicks above San Francisco 49ers fans and one up from the Chicago Cubs fans.

And the Philly fan myth is true. In 98 was at The Vet watching the Cards/Phillies in the RF OF seats as fans were throwing D sized batteries at JD Drew from the bleachers when Drew was on defense when he pulled a John Elway after being drafted with "I don't want to play there".

I know nobody respects the Rams since they have been one of the worst teams in the league for many years but they have outscored their opponents 76-0 over the past 2 games. Greg Williams' defensive strategy is finally starting to establish itself as their defensive line is not only sacking the QB with regularity but, due to the outstanding play of interior linemen Aaron Donald and Michael Brockers, they have totally shut down the running game recently. We'll see how they do against a better opponent on Thursday when they play Arizona but I can definitely see the upgrade in performance all-around, offensively and defensively, in the past 3 games. A team on the rise....all we need is a solid QB to take us to the next level. Les Snead and Jeff Fisher have done an outstanding job in assembling the right personnel over the past 3 years and now it is starting to pay dividends.

Peter King put them at #15 on his "Fine Fifteen." First time they've been on that list in awhile.

When was the last time they were ranked that high with 3 games left? 2005? 2004?

Honestly, I don't keep up with with Peter King's rankings. I was just being a smart-ass since being ranked 15th by some sportswriter just doesn't seem all that momentous. I guess it makes a pretty serious statement about how bad the Rams have been in recent years that you are likely to be correct.

They are doing what Arizona did at the end if last season rounding in to playoff team when it's too late.
That team is just getting scarier and scarier and the sick thing is they are a young team.
They owe Dan Snyder a big thank you for being a complete moron.
