First round of the Draft is in the books. Six quarterbacks were taken in the first 12 picks.

Things were going much as expected until Atlanta selected at #8. The Falcons signed Kirk Cousins to a four-year, $180 million dollar contract a month ago. They used the eighth overall pick in the Draft on quarterback Michael Penix Jr. Rome Odunze was still available. They could have had literally any defensive player. People are shocked.

The G-Men (NY Giants) did NOT draft a QB with their 6th pick. Instead, they drafted a stud WR (Malik Nabers) from LSU (2nd WR taken). Their last 1st round WR from LSU worked out well (O. Beckham Jr!).

The Bills, who lost BOTH of their top-2 WRs, traded out of their #28 slot with KC (their nemesis!!), and KC took the fastest timed WR ever.. Then, at #32, BUF again traded out with CAR .. and CAR took a WR. BUF finally took their / CAR's pick at #33, first pick of the second round, and got a 6'3" SLOW (4.61 seconds in the 40-yard dash) WR. Keep in mind, they already have TWO stud 6'4" TEs, in Dawson Knox and Dalton Kinkaid.

Mental note: draft BUF RB J. Cook. Because BUF is likely going to be bullying teams in '24.

Yak - did you see Tom Brady's NEP HOF ceremony? Moss was there. He got a standing-o from the crowd, and was brought to tears from the emotion.

I did see that. They were something special in that '07 season. If it had been anyone other than New England, I would have been rooting for the undefeated team to close the deal and go 19-0 (I guess it would be 20-0 now) . That would be fun to watch.

Trevor Lawrence has agreed to a massive extension:
