Don't get too excited about those 2 Ram wins. Remember Pittsburgh scoring 94 points in their 2 games before they got beaten by the Jets.

The Cowboys have been true road warriors (7-0-0 w. the 'Skins up-coming) this season, I really thought they were done following their recent 21-0 lead slip-up. Nice finish and in December, game of the week for me as I doubt tonight's will be much of a nail-biter.

Jay Cutler will be benched in favor of Jimmy Clausen Sunday vs the Lions.

I hope he does well. He was drafted into a situation (lame-duck coach, team on salary purge pre-lockout) in which nobody would have been successful. He also showed alot of maturity and professionalism in a backup role after the team drafted Cam.

Hey Yak. I was thinking about how you were dealing with the Panthers slide while I was away. We still are hanging by a thread. Don't even want to talk about the drama in Chapel Hill right now.

I am not a Cam fan and do not think he will ever get them over the hump. I don't know if they will ever win a playoff game relying on him. It may sound crazy, but I would not offer him a new contract when this one runs out. (Chapel Hill buried its head in the sand for years, busy slapping each other on the back while the athletic department was filled with paper players. The football program is full of talent but the players do not play as a unit, just like the basketball team. They play for stats, not each other.)

As both a Panthers and Tar Heel I have to admit that you are right about UNC. As for the Panthers, I think if they win the division, they will win at least one playoff game.

BC, I lived in NC for over 20 years and have followed both the Panthers and Tar Heels closely. Cam does well against bad defenses. I cannot think of a time he has excelled in a game against a playoff defense. He is an athlete playing QB. Good enough to get to the playoffs, maybe, just maybe win one, but never gonna win NFC or SB with him at the helm. What sucks is there really isn't anyone to replace him and they will always draft in the teens of the first round, so they won't get a top-tier QB coming out of college.

Id take it but if you think the NFL helps Seattle just look at history and that just isn't the case.

You're correct historically they haven't gotten help from the refs but now that they are the Legion of Boom they're the NFL darling. They better thank their lucky stars that they got new ownership.

I actually told Paul Allen thank you to his face for buying the Seahawks.
The minute they got that team away from the previous douche bag owner was a ray of light baby.

Joique Bell's touchdown run in the fourth quarter gave the Detroit Lions a 20-14 victory over the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

Detroit's win coupled with Green Bay's win in Tampa Bay, means the winner of the NFC North will be decided next week as the Lions will travel to Lambeau Field in a winner-take-all Week 17 matchup.

The Lions came into the game having been assured of a playoff spot due to Philadelphia's loss to Washington on Saturday. It is the first time since the 2011 season that the Lions have made it to the postseason. Matthew Stafford had a rough game as he went just 22-for-39 for 243 yards with a pair of red zone interceptions, while Reggie Bush also had a rushing touchdown for the Lions, who have won four straight to reach 11 wins for the first time since going 12-4 in 1991.

Coincidentally, the last time a Lions team won in Green Bay was in 1991, as the team has lost 23 straight in Wisconsin and 1991 was also the last time a Lions team won a playoff game (a 38-6 win over Dallas), their only post season win since 1957.

Go Lions!!!

Panthers are still alive! Should be a good one next week in Atlanta and will for all intents and purposes be a playoff game. Oh and FUCK THE SAINTS HA HA HA
