All media. That was taken out of the context of all of the looting after katrina yet i've heard many times that there is absolutely no looking going on in japan. It's been spun that it's the cultural difference that the japanese are community oriented and americans (using that as an example though can be said about other countries) are individual oriented. ie selfish

this is reality and sorry if it offends anyone but since at least the days of the watts and newark riots to los angeles to katrina ect the first thing thousands of blacks and mexicans do is start looting.
they go nuts, like theyre on some sort of drug.
I guess its the drug of greed and disregard for other peoples property.
in simple terms they just don't give a fuck.
smashing up businesses and stealing their stuff.
as if the damage isn't enough from the disaster or riot we need this too right?

Call me crazy but I'm with you on this. A few days after the earthquake hit Japan, the Japanese Mafia was even helping the people. Sure they probably were trying to make a profit, but it's the idea that counts. The Japanese are a people that help each other in times of peril, unlike what happened here after Katrina hit.

See you and I are on the same page. I'm not just targeting black people, but us white people are just as guilty for looting after Katrina hit.

I guess there are a number of factors, poor/slow government response leaves people scared, angry and feeling abandoned. When some feel help is not coming they do what they must to feed themselves and their family, maybe what we called looting they called survival. If you don't trust the government or your police them all sense of community and togetherness is lost and incidents like these occur. I'm not saying this was every case but seeing how dire things were some people became desperate and stole, maybe others stole just for greed we'll never know for true.
