Japanese and American Reaction to Disaster

Remember the key are the differences/similarities of the victims reactions to the disaster. You were trying unsuccessfully to say the NO shouldn't be used as a scenario because it wasn't as bad as Japan's disaster. Obvious cover for your unsuccessful attempt to paint this thread as racist. You struck out.

Keep trying Meg.....maybe one day you'll hit the ball.:1orglaugh

Feel free to start your own thread on basket weaving.

:1orglaughThis is the second time you've recorded 3 strikes off a single pitch.

Research your own thread before you boffo...:1orglaugh

With respect to whether this thread was 'racist' I specifically said it probably was not. :FACE-PALM:

As far as how the victims reacted to each circumstance, the point is moot IMO as the circumstances are different. The pics posted by U convey that quite clearly....

There are no Japanese stranded on rooftops, overpasses or in domed stadiums for days (and days). These people in the pics are sitting out able to manage albeit amongst almost total wreckage.

The quake and tsunami's effect was more devastating and offered those in their path far less opportunity to react ahead of time. That said, the practical peril and desperation for the Japanese survivors would appear less than what we saw in NO simply because the NO survivors were stranded for a much longer time before relief and rescue efforts reached them.

But your efforts to paint/bait this as a social experiment is another transparent, epic fail....:hatsoff:

Apples & Oranges.

And not only were the people left behind in N.O. stranded for days , but the Police were forced to scavenge stores alongside civilians.

There were no long lines to the Supermarkets & Convenience stores(like In Japan) in New Orleans because the city was nearly completely evacuated & no one behind to open the stores that weren't damaged.

The store owners had evaucated New Orleans so how could civilians or POLICE whom were stranded for days 'buy' supplies?

Seems certain posters really dislike America. After Israel ,No doubt they will be pledging their "Allegiance" to Japan next I guess?:dunno:

Double your meds.

I guess I have been a little depressed lately by your 'alleged' family sob story from decades ago & your sad attempt to solicit sympathy on a porn forum.

DAMN. Now "White Liberal Guilt" is overwhelming me again......wah:crying:

But don't let me stop you & your buddy meester from your attacks on New Orleans & minorities I've heard it all by now.

"Angry White guiys' DO need a place to vent & if it's just a few harmless/insignificant pages on a message board why should I object.:dunno:

Well the people of Japan have money plus they got hit by a massive title wave. So how can they loot when basically all was lost? As far as race goes?...that's another debate to be continued...

Actually the thread has been a success considering the attempts by you and few others to derail it.

No Japanese on rooftops?

Japanese peril and desperation less than those in NO?

 Oh Meg.

Wow and now girk1 is here.

There were mass cases of able bodied (not trapped under something and uninjured) Japanese stranded for days on rooftops, bridge overpasses, etc.?

Disasters create dire circumstances in any event. That's not in question but trying to judge reactions around cases where some people were stranded for hours to those where some were stranded for days is dumb and pretty transparent.

what the fuck you lookin at?
Six months after the devastating earthquake and tsunami, how the Japanese disaster zone has been cleared up

Onagawa, Miyagi was completely obliterated by the March 11 earthquake and tsunami

Bulldozers clear the last of the wreckage in Onagawa, leaving the site free for rebuilding

The tsunami carried away everything in its path as it roared into Iwanuma, Miyagi, on March 11

Pictured on September 6, fields have begun to grow and there is a sense of order being restored

Curious to see how orderly the Japanese react to disaster compared to say the American one after Katrina.
Both suffered from nature's wrath. Yet we see order and no looting in Japan, and chaos, corrupt cops leaving, looting, murder after Katrina.
What a difference.

When the big one hits L.A. it's going to be yet another compare/contrast to Japan.

Because America as a society has lost the site of doing the right thing. I know there are alot of atheists here and I will get bashed for this, but what ever happened to the concept "do onto others as you would have them do onto you"? There was a great line in Douglas Adams hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. It went along the lines, " Humans, the only race the killed a guy for having the idea that we should all be kind to each other and help each other out". I was paraphrasing but you should get the gist of what I ment.
