Who's getting rich while we're getting sick?
The same people getting rich before the pandemic. Commercial real estate is definitely taking a hit. It will get worse once leases start expiring and do not get renewed at the same rates and square footages.Who's getting rich while we're getting sick?
"Vaccines take years to develop and test. There is no way they could have thoroughly tested these vaccines enough so that they can conclusively say they are safe."
Thanks for trying, but do you have something more catered & specific to the argument presented?I'll try...
Life is always a risk so you hedge your bets. You may have a point but you are still better off getting the shot than taking the chance of not getting it.

Really? You need a better reason than this is the best way we have to avoid your death or you infecting others and killing them (and so on down the chain)? I'll take immediate proven protection against death over possible mythical long term side effects we don't know about yet please. This is now largely a disease of the unvaccinated and almost exclusively a killer of the unvaccinated so Darwin will eventually sort this out for us. To me, this is a simple intelligence test - fail and you might die early. If you choose to fail, Darwin is always waiting.I hope you'll indulge me in a little exercise. I'll post a popular reason not to get vaccinated, and you post a rational counter-argument that would convince a sane person otherwise.

There will always be a minority of people who will never be convinced in every country but I'm just sad that my neighbors to the south have politicians who are actively working to kill their own supporters. Can the MAGA side of the fence really afford to kill up to 2% of their supporters? Saying and doing the things that many Republican governors and politicians do would be political suicide in Canada and I suspect most places in the world. To me, that says a lot; infer the world's opinion of the situation in the US from that if you will.
Enough ranting, back to posting porn.
Your portfolio disagrees with you.Whoever the Profiteers Of Doom are should be wiped off the face of the Earth so clean like they never existed.
“That is a correct statement, vaccines do take years to develop. Are they conclusively safe? Most likely yes. With millions of shots already given, adverse reactions are rare."Vaccines take years to develop and test. Hey, I calls it like I sees it and I'm not trying to convince anybody with my argument. I'm just pointing out what I think this boils down to - Darwin at work. I also personally don't care about the "get a shot or get fired" issue (and it is overblown - with unions in place, nobody is going to get fired). I really don't give a damn about governments and business mandating vaccines - makes me and everyone else safer. If people really want the right to not get the shot, they also can damn well accept the right to be unemployed, not go to sporting events, concerts, etc. as well. Freedom works both ways no matter what country you are in.@DrakeM
You're preaching to the choir, I'm fully vaccinated. But telling people that this is an "intelligence test" i.e. they're just stupid is not going to convince anyone. The argument I posted is just one of the reasons that people I know, who I consider to be otherwise rational people, are using as a basis for not getting the shot, or at least being vaccine hesitant. So I'm trying to get some ideas (which might actually work) to convince them otherwise.
Speaking of Canada, and on the other side of the politicians trying to kill their supporters, the government is forcing vaccinations of federal workers under threat of termination:

Predictably, a heavy handed approach of "Get the shot or you'll be fired" isn't going over too well, and plays right into the hand of anti-vaxxers.

Nuff said, won't respond to anything else on this topic. I really gotta remember this is a porn board and rarely worth my time to go beyond that.

Now we're talking!! Thanks! Here ya go:
mRNA vaccines are a new type of vaccine to protect against infectious diseases. To trigger an immune response, many vaccines put a weakened or inactivated germ into our bodies. Not mRNA vaccines. Instead, they teach our cells how to make a protein—or even just a piece of a protein—that triggers an immune response inside our bodies. That immune response, which produces antibodies, is what protects us from getting infected if the real virus enters our bodies.
COVID-19 mRNA vaccines give instructions for our cells to make a harmless piece of what is called the “spike protein.” The spike protein is found on the surface of the virus that causes COVID-19.
- First, COVID-19 mRNA vaccines are given in the upper arm muscle. Once the instructions (mRNA) are inside the muscle cells, the cells use them to make the protein piece. After the protein piece is made, the cell breaks down the instructions and gets rid of them.
- Next, the cell displays the protein piece on its surface. Our immune systems recognize that the protein doesn’t belong there and begin building an immune response and making antibodies, like what happens in natural infection against COVID-19.
- At the end of the process, our bodies have learned how to protect against future infection. The benefit of mRNA vaccines, like all vaccines, is those vaccinated gain this protection without ever having to risk the serious consequences of getting sick with COVID-19.
mRNA vaccines have been held to the same rigorous safety and effectiveness standards [332 KB, 24 pages]external icon as all other types of vaccines in the United States. The only COVID-19 vaccines the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will make available for use in the United States (by approval or emergency use authorization) are those that meet these standards.
Researchers have been studying and working with mRNA vaccines for decades. Interest has grown in these vaccines because they can be developed in a laboratory using readily available materials. This means the process can be standardized and scaled up, making vaccine development faster than traditional methods of making vaccines.
