*2020 US Presidential Elections* - Candidates, Statistics, Campaign Timelines, Debates

In future debates, I'd like to see them each in a soundproof booth where they can hear everything, but for each turn their mic gets turned on for their 2 minutes and then turned off again.

I've changed my assessment a little bit. First time I heard it on the radio, but then I watched it with the missus. trump looked like an absolute doofus, and he did pretty much all the interrupting. Biden could have been a lot stronger, but at least he kept his dignity.

My comment at the 15-minute mark was "Biden is going to walk off the stage any minute now." He stayed in the arena, didn't back down, and showed he can stand there with Trump.

July Trump: "Let Biden sit through an interview like this [with Chris Wallace], he'll be on the ground crying for mommy"

We now have our answer.

Back to boobies. 👋

Biden could have been a lot stronger, but at least he kept his dignity.
Unfortunately, keeping his dignity might have worked against M. Rubio or Ted Cruz, it won't against Trump. When you face Trump, you need to land a few punches, to have 1 or 2 impactful one-liner 'cause, at any given moment, Trump might pull something like this :

I think Biden will come out harder next time. trump has used all his A material, he's got nothing left, and now Biden knows that he's only going to get a few minutes total without trump talking over him, so I think he's going to go for the big hits.
I also liked how dismissive of trump Biden was, the more Biden ignored him, like a kid throwing a tantrum, the louder his tantrum got.

Any trump fans got any theories on why Biden multiple times strongly encouraged Americans to vote, while trump shouted made up stories about mailmen selling ballots and tried to convince people that the election will be a sham?

Here are the best parts where Trump owned Sleepy Joe.

Trump won the debate in 1 phrase: "Joe, I've done more in 47 Months than you did in 47 Years"
https://www.westernjournal.com/trum...f_campaign=dailypm&ff_content=western-journal

One of the best moment was when Trump blasted Biden's brains: "You graduated last in class, don't use the word 'smart' with me"
https://www.westernjournal.com/trum...f_campaign=dailypm&ff_content=western-journal

Another of the best moments was whenTrump got Biden to freak in first 30 Minutes, had VP snarling and then told to him 'Will You Shut Up, Man?'
https://www.westernjournal.com/trum...f_campaign=dailypm&ff_content=western-journal

Trump was fierce and very agressive where as Sleepy Joe was very sleepy, low energy and seemed to be very lost. This is reminded the debate vs Hillary.

And moreover than that Trump campaign turns down Biden request for Debate breaks - 'Our Guy Doesn't Need Breaks'
https://www.westernjournal.com/vide...f_campaign=dailypm&ff_content=western-journal

The next debates are going to be fun to watch, the Democrats have shown what is a lousy candidate on all counts.

I am in America, not of it.
"Any trump fans got any theories on why Biden multiple times strongly encouraged Americans to vote, while trump shouted made up stories about mailmen selling ballots and tried to convince people that the election will be a sham? " Seems self explanatory to me.

As much as Republicans claim Democrats want to create votes, Republicans usually try to suppress votes:
https://news.yahoo.com/critics-warn...ntial-voter-suppression-tactic-202923096.html

A Republican lawyer who was involved in Bush's 2000 count:
“As a Republican lawyer who has spent four decades monitoring elections and looking for fraud, I can say with confidence that evidence to support the president’s words and threatened actions does not exist. The president has consistently been behind in the polls, and his aim appears to be seeding chaos in order to somehow cling to power,”

In order to expand the suppression, he's soliciting poll-watching volunteers for an "Army for Trump". During the debate he referenced Philadelphia which happens to be the largest city in an important swing state (Pennsylvania). I wonder why? :) Anyone who knows Pennsylvania knows Dems win by winning big in Philly and the 'Burgh.

Remember that in 2016 polls were giving Clinton a winner but she lost. Never takes poll as grandted. Dems made huge bet on Clinton and Sleepy Joe isn't a better bet either.

I must be misinterpreting something because I do not reference polls in my comment. Poll-watching is observing the activities at the polling station and the vote counting. Pardon me if I missed something.

But, to your point ...

I do recall the polling prior to the 2016 election. You're correct Joe is not Hillary. Trump 2020 is not Trump 2016 either. At that time his governance style was unknown and many people thought he would grow into the position. That sliver of the electorate now knows exactly what to expect. Joe doesn't have the same baggage as Hillary.

Here's how 538's forecast has moved over the past few months. It's surprisingly stable and trending toward Biden. There's still another month for an October Surprise.

On election night 2016, 538 had Trump with a 28% of winning (essentially 2 in 7). Anyone who knows statistics would not take a 72% of winning as anything close to a certainty. It's essentially a little better than the probability of a batter getting a hit.

He is.
Hillary was a polarizing figure, Biden isn't one. A lot of non-republican voters Americans hate Hillary. They same can't be said about Biden.
On the contrary, due to the death of his previous wife and his 1 year old daughter and later the death of his son, Americans, even non-democratic voters, have sympathy for Biden

Not a polarizing figure pur say but a unenthused confused corrupt won that pimps death in the family for votes a uncle touchy creep from several accounts abd photos. So no thanks

I don't want to jinx anything, but I'm starting to allow myself just a tiny bit of hope that Biden might win next month, and trump will be thrown out on his ass. Not sure what Biden's presidency will look like, of course that will depend a lot on what the senate looks like, but just seeing trump lose will be epic.

Keep dreaming, you have already lost with Clinton, you will lose again with Biden.
