*2024 US Presidential Elections* - Candidates, Statistics, Campaign Timelines, Debates

I think the Harris campaign has failed miserably in terms of messaging, and have been way too cautious in attacking Trump's character.
There is nothing more damning and disqualifying than having 25* members of a former President's staff publicly turn on him,
sending a clear message to the voters what a mistake it would be to return Trump to the Oval Office.
Never before have we seen such a rebuke of a former President by so many of his former staffers.
Voters should be reminded constantly in ads of this fact, as well as just how unprecedented it truly is.
This warning is not just a red flag, it's a red flag on fire!

The fact that Trump is still in the vicinity of having a chance is because he keeps pushing more entertaining / crazier media stunts harder than the democratic side, and that the large media houses are playing into his hands. Because their owners are Billionaires, and they would profit way more from a Trump win.

Bezos flexed his muscles with the Washington Post. Not that anyone was waiting on their endorsement, but Bezos squashed any endorsement.

tump has shown he is willing to grant huge favours (even borderline illegal ones) for the top tier of those who support him. He has made business deals that benefit his company and big business guys like Musk & Bezos know this. Their public endorsement means little, but stunts like what Bezos did here will have an effect.

Even that awesome rocket landing has Musk connections. I bet there is some kind of deal for more support of spaceX, which could sway people of the scientific community.

These guys may or may not like tump, but they know they can use him for their benefit.

It probably had more of impact than if the Post just made their endorsement. Everyone anticipated the endorsement and it got more headlines this way.

Billionaires and the Border!

Trump goes to NY and finds some no-name comedian to use as his warmup act. In any normal situation, it may sink his campaign. Now we just go 🤷‍♂️ and realize he has a 50/50 shot at winning the election.

The Puerto Rico and Latino jokes are getting the headlines. It did not stop there. At another point in his bit, the guy points to a black guy and goes “That’s one of my buddies. He had a Halloween party last night. We had fun. We carved watermelons together.”

Isn’t there a guy on Fox who could have done a routine?

#HandsOffMyPorn: Porn stars launch $200,000 campaign asking people to NOT vote for Trump. Here's why

While Trump infamously made headlines for his connection to Stormy Daniels, a porn star, the American adult industry believes that if re-elected, he would be the reason for the industry's shutdown. To save their livelihoods, they've launched the #HandsOffMyPorn campaign, spending $200,000 so far on ads. Photograph:(WION Web Team)

"Hands off my porn," proclaims the latest election campaign in the United States, urging voters to refrain from voting for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

Thanks to this campaign, people watching porn in America are now seeing ads asking them to vote on Nov 5, to "keep doing this".
Appearing before the pornographic content, porn stars tell the viewer: "Hey, I know you're busy. I know you're doing something. Hold on. If you want to keep doing this, you really need to vote on November 5... Enjoy!"

The campaign, as per AFP, is mainly targeted at men, a demographic in which Trump enjoys a strong lead, all thanks to his machismo-drenched pitch.
According to the Institute for Family Studies, men are four times more likely than women to watch porn. These "public service announcements" are being played for viewers in battleground states like Pennsylvania, Arizona, and Georgia.

My bet is that it will be so close that there will be no winner declared until Wed at the very earliest.

US elections make for more exciting TV than most sporting events.
If one thing is for certain, it's not going to be a blowout. If tump loses, there is no way he is going to concede.

It looks like 4 more years of Trump. America will be great again. Prosperous and safe.

It is not the result I desired, but it is over. Time to watch the implosion.

10 reasons why Kamala Harris loss the election...

1. Inflation/cost of living
2. Immigration
3. Her gender
4. Her ethnicity
5. Her lack of skills, relative to Trump, as a politician
6. As a party, the Dems are absolutely TERRIBLE at the dirty game of politics (too civil)
7. Trump connected better with voters, tapping directly into their anger and frustration
8. Trump absolutely crushed Harris in TV ads. His were hard-hitting, impactful, and powerful, while hers seemed restrained, choosing not to use
all the available ammunition she had against him.
9. A short-sighted, small-picture-thinking, uninformed electorate that fails to understand the dark ramifications, not only in the US but around the world,
that a Trump victory brings.
10.Surprisingly, despite threatening to deport millions of Hispanics, Trump dramatically overperformed with the Latino vote

It's not just about the prez race. The Senate has to confirm any SCOTUS nominees, so the combo of prez+senate is going to ensure the judicial branch stays conservative for quite a while.

We should all remember that it is important that we all can make a difference, this way or that, on the grassroots level.

And, guys, please keep beong nice to each other, this forum should be all about being friendly.

Good morning all. Let's come together and look at the positives. The Election is over. I think we can all breathe a sigh of relief. Most people here seem to have voted for Kamala Harris. You guys didn't like Kamala Harris enough to even dedicate a thread to her. You didn't lose anything. Things will be fine or not as different as you predicted. Go about your daily lives and be happy. We had 2 bad candidates and neither one is worth sticking your neck out for or losing friends and family over. The last thing I am doing is gloating. I may not have lost anything but I didn't win anything either. Time to fight and argue is over. Hope you all have a great day, week, and future.

With 7 and 8 -- And what message is that? That he lies through his teeth? Everything he says is a lie. What's his national healthcare program to replace the Affordable Care Act? He doesn't have one. Just like most other things.

Harris conceded this afternoon and stated “we must accept the results of this election.” Biden called Trump to congratulate him and invite him to the White House to measure for curtains. They are doing the right thing although we know the honors were not reciprocated 4 years ago.

Bernie Sanders bluntly says the truth: “It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them … the American People are angry and want change.” Change is coming.
