Three lullabies in an ancient tongue
Vikes-Saints should be a killer game. I won't be surprised whichever way it goes and, not having a rooting interest, can just sit back and enjoy the competition. If New Orleans can slow down Minnesota's pass rush and give Brees time to throw....advantage Saints. If not....well, you fill in the blanks. I can't wait for the game....could be one for the ages.

The Jets have been awesome and Rex Ryan is definitely the coach of the year. However, unlike Philip Rivers, Manning will be able to spread the ball around to enough receivers (Clark should go off for big numbers) to overcome the Jet defense and Revis (who will likely shut down Reggie Wayne. I mean, why shouldn't he? He's shut down everybody else so far!). Besides, Matt Stover won't choke in the dome like Nate Kaeding did in Qualcomm. Colts should win as the Jets' Cinderella coach turns back into a pumpkin.

You're hoping for karmic payback on the Colts because they sat their starters and let them get healthy and avoid risking injury? But Favre deserves to go to the Super Bowl? The guy retires whenever something isn't going his way. If anybody deserves karmic payback it's Favre.

There have been times when Favre has been an arrogent prima donna, or has been an attention whore. It could even be argued he unfairly jerked around Green Bay with some of his antics, but even with all that Favre still has never hurt the very integrity of the game he plays nor has he done something to make a mockery of the very nature of competitive sports since people started playing them.

Can you imagine the partying that's gonna happen in New Orleans when the Saints make it to the Superbowl, let alone, win it with Mardi Gras following the week after??? Superbowl, Feb. 7, Mardi Gras Feb. 16.

Here are some wagering odds for your gambling pleasure.

Odds to win the Superbowl
Colts 6/5
Vikings 4/1
Saints 2/1
Jets 13/2

Exact Result of the Superbowl
Minnesota Vikings beat the Indianapolis Colts 21/4
Minnesota Vikings beat the New York Jets 12/1
New Orleans Saints beat the Indianapolis Colts 14/5
New Orleans Saints beat the New York Jets 10/1
Indianapolis Colts beat the Minnesota Vikings 5/1
Indianapolis Colts beat the New Orleans Saints 9/4
New York Jets beat the New Orleans Saints 19/2

Superbowl coin toss heads or tails both lines are standard -110

No odds on NYJ beating Minnesota? JEts can't beat last year's QB?

They basically ran the guy (Favre) out of town, told him where he could go, rather than letting him decide, even offered to buy him out of the league (what was the deal? so many millions to stay retired?!)

If Favre takes the Vikes all the way, THAT'S karmic payback!

As for the Colts, I think Peyton is one of the classiest guys in the NFL, but I hate what the organization did. Ya, I understand the reasons, but some starters were still playing. Ya, Manning makes the team what it is, but it just sucks from a fans perspective.

I am a Bears fan, so seeing Favre win with the Vikes would be somewhat painful, but I can live with it since it really puts Green Bay to shame!

I think it'll be Colts-Saints. I am torn over who to root for.
But don't rule out the Jets. No one thought they would beat San Diego. . .

Okay, as I've said before, if the Colts gets past the Jets, then the NFC Conference game is merely to decide who gets to be the Super Bowl runner-up. If Indy gets there, they're going to win. Fact. I would wager my rather meager bank account on it. Go Horse!

I don't care if Revis Island shuts down Reggie Wayne. Let them. The Jets will not have an answer for Collie, Garçon, or Clark. Their run defense will not be a factor because Indy doesn't run the ball, nor do they need to. The Colts had the 32nd ranked run offense in the league this year (that's last by the way) and I think they did just fine. The Colts do not need the run to set up the pass.

Remember when I said that? Manning has over 300 yards passing. Collie and Garçon each have over 100 yards receiving and Clark has a TD. I know that of which I speak.

 to my wisdom. Indy has booked their ticket to Miami. Go Horse!

Funny situation. 4th and 1. Manning calls a TO. Now Stover comes out. FG good. Stover is a mummy.

I think the Vikings and Saints defenses didn't get the memo that the game was today. We're headed for a 38-37 kind of game..

C'mon Saints!! :nanner::nanner:

not if they lose they won't

And uh, yeah, isn't that the point of saying they will win...because dude, people shit on Minnesota professional athletics all the time; I think because people have a problem with the state for some reason or something. Too cold for all the pussies over there at ESPN and the like, me thinks. :thefinger

Maybe it's because we have the highest living standard in the country? Maybe it's because we have the hottest women? I can't fucking stand the critics at ESPN, they make me sick the way they always bash/omit MN sports from their little programs they have over there. Mike and Mike, Skip Bayless, Woody Paige, First Take and all those fuckers. fucking all of them.

Well I got news, the Twins will win a title soon - real soon - and the Vikes are going to finally get one this year, as long as we are healthy. But the Williams wall is playing again, and that's good news. I just can't wait 'til NO loses tonight...:thefinger

It's tight right now. Edge Vikings. But we'll see.

Maybe a slight momentum change toward the Saints

Bloody what the hell are you talking about? I think the Vikings are ESPN's second favorite team (behind the Pats of course ) and every one of the ex-NFL analysts they have all ride Brett Favre's jock in every situation...so, again, more Viking love for the people of Minnesota :dunno: ESPN puts the Yanks/Red Sox on a pedestal above ALL TEAMS, not just the Twins (err Twinkies ;) :thefinger)

What a terrible game. I swear these morons have grease on their hands or something...can never hold on to a damn ball. AP is sooooo overrated it's not even funny. If the queens get rid of him it would be a wise move. He only had like one good year. We need to get rid of him.

Yeah, it's shit like that that really sticks in my craw. Okay so they are the only worthy teams in the league....yeah right. They just have all the money. Mauer is hands down the best player in the league and you couldn't pay those ass hats at ESPN to talk about him.

As far as the queens representation on ESPN, I just don't see it. I watch Mike and Mike all the time and they never say anything good. Truth. And as far the Wolves, they are just the worst franchise ever, period. It's a damn shame. The Gophers could probably beat the wolves they are that bad. But the queens have always been good, just never got their title(s).

Looks like the Saints realize the only way they're good enough to make it to the Superbowl is to cripple Favre. Pussies. Not much of a Viking fan normally, but today they've got my support. Fuck New Orleans, go Vikings!
