Shit, Arsenal lost. Glad they didn't show that game on tv here...

Good win for Spurs against Villa. Hopefully we get some defenders back soon (Bassong is still inexperienced and naive at present) and Van Der Vaart is looking quality up front

They did here. We were the better team for most of the match, but, as usual failed to capitalise on our chances, where Chelsea managed to take theirs. :crying:

I'm not a Spurs fan but I've got to say that if he keeps up his current form then Van Der Vaart for £8 million is one of the biggest bargains in the history of the Premier League.

Did anyone sse De Jong's awfull tackle on Benarfa ?
Both leg's bones are broken.
Ben Arfa will be out for, at least, 6 monthes.
Newcastle's coach is very disapointed angry with that.

Netherlands coach decided to sack De Jong's from the National Netherlands team for the upcoming games in Moldavia and VS Sweden.

Yer it was a good win, Van der Vaart was outstanding especially the second goal. Spurs vs. Villa is usually always a tight affair. Having said that we don't normally play badly against Chelsea, however given last seasons hammering by them and their current form I'd be happy with a draw tbh.

Btw Johan at first I didnt see what the big deal was but when they showed the replay it was horrific. De Jong is making a name for himself as a really dirty player as he fractured Stuart Holdens leg only a week ago and I'm sure no-one needs reminding of the karate kick Jet Li would have been proud of in the world cup final on Alonso.

I know we lost, but Emile Heskey's play to set up that goal was fuckin' awesome. The game changed when he came off.

And lol, Liverpool fucking sucks.

I don't think we can expect to beat Chelski when they are at full strength and we're missing RvP, Cesc, Theo Walcott and Vermaelen. Victory wasn't in the cards for us. I would like to play Chelski someday when they don't have Drogba, Malouda, Terry and Essien and we have our full fucking squad :mad::mad:

I am getting bored with International games...I gotta say. I am over the World Cup...no more "friendlies" or National qualification or whatever.....

I WANT CLUB ACTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't think the tackle was that bad. It was a foul but it was not a red card offence for me. Wouldn't have argued with a booking.

Although De Jong is a thug and should have been sent off in numerous games this season.

Thank you! Whenever I feel like getting consumed in it all again, there's a week off :( And I wish I could watch all Villa games. I'm not gonna pay extra just for one fucking channel (FSC Plus or whatever the fuck it is) Are most of Arsenal's game on TV here in the US??

^
Don't you get Fox Soccer Channel? I'm not able to purchase FSC+ at the moment. I have AT&T Uverse and I'm not sure it's even offered as a channel.

Aston Villa games are regularly offered on FSC, nearly as many times as the Goons. ESPN2 also shows English Premier action only on the Weekends but they, for some reason  don't show Arsenal games. I think Arsenal/Tottenham was on ESPN last year and that was the only time. ESPN seems to be ManuUSA or ChelskiUSA tv

If you don't get regular FSC there is always.... justintv :yesyes:

I get FSC, and they've actually have been showing a good number of the games this year, more than normal. I guess I'm just being a bit greedy, used to seeing all Barcelona matches and just hoping for the same for Villa. And the Premier league games on ESPN come on at 5 in the morning here out west, I ain't gon wake up for that.......and you're right, they'd rather put Man United vs. [Insert shit team here] than for example Aston Villa vs. Spurs or something like that which would be much more interesting.......

I'm like you...I'd much rather watch the likes of Villa and Spurs because there seems to be a lot more passion and attacking football involved in their games this season as opposed to the boring "grind out a 1-0" football the supposed "big boys" are playing. I'm quite lucky as I live a 30min drive from Villa Park and their ticket prices have been much more suited to the average football supporter recently. I managed to pay £10 for a ticket in the Holte End for Villa vs. Everton earlier this season.

This "2 defensive midfielder" system a lot of teams are using is slowly killing the game.

Not a bad result today, both teams had chances to win the game. Reo Coker should have scored but then so should Anelka, both were gilt edged. In all fairness though I'd take a point against Chelsea anyday, even though part of me thinks we should have won it.

Did anyone else watch the other games?

It wasn't the greatest day at the Emirates...sad to say. A win is a win is a win....

When was the last time the Mancs and Liverpoop both missed out on the Champion's league :surprise: :nanner:

Well earned draw against Chelsea for muh Villans.

Am I crazy for thinking Spurs could finish 2nd or 3rd?? No one other than Chelsea has really impressed.......

Liverpool may well be in the Champions league next season.

No, not Champions league, I meant Championship! :anonymous

Because everyone's dropping points like it's going outta style, it's very possible Liverpool makes the Champion's League. Recall cross-town rivals Everton's turnaround last season. Man United has only won 3 out of 8 matches. That's it. But they are in 4th lol.
