Why save the world, when you can rule it?
HOWEVER, I have known a lot of girls during my years in the industry who seem to think abortion is a form of birth control, including one girl who has actually had so many abortions that the local clinic has told her they will not be able to give her any more without causing severe irreparable damage to her uterus ("my husband doesn't like the way condoms feel and he won't let me go on the pill cos it makes me gain weight" - actual quote), and that is something I do take issue with. Unfortunately, there really is no ethical solution to the problem.
:wtf:
I just can't concieve how a human being could think like that....

Hell, now that I think about it more...I'd even support it for some people if it were retroactive! Think about it! Ha ha ha!

My being an adult model bears no reflection on my skills and abillity to be a mother IMO. However, continually showing that you are unfit to carry and birth a child, SEVERAL times, and are so unfit to do so to the point where you abort several children...yeah thats not exactly showcasing to the world that you are prepared to handle motherhood. Sure maybe things might change in the future, but should innocent children continually be concieved and aborted, and government dollars be wasted on someone who is too stupid to keep on the pill or use rubbers? I think not.
I agree with you 100% Some people in the U.S. would try to make this idea a race issue. I don't care what color you are...irresponsible is irresponsible! I believe there is a societal interest in reducing the number of unwanted babies, illegitimate children, and serial abortionists (who do so as a form of retro-birth control)! It is society that is left paying the bills for this "glorious" development...whether it be welfare, prisons (these children often end up there), medicaid (in the U.S.), etc. I'd even take it to the next level in saying that I would support forced sterilization of MEN who continuously impregnate women out of wed lock! As they say, it takes two to tango! When a man shows a pattern of irresponsibility...I believe they should face a similar consequence! The world does not need baby factories or sperm donors...aborted or otherwise...in my humble opinion! Where is it written that having children is a right anyway? If we would accept the fact that childbirth, in and of itself, isn't really glorious (in all cases anyway), I believe the world would be a much better place!

I also agree also that what one does for a living does not in any way indicate what kind of a parent that person would be. From what I have seen from you...you definitely seem to be a really extremely level headed, responsible, sensible, intelligent, and rational woman! To me, those seem to be good qualities to have in a mother. Furthermore, I guarantee you that we could easily find extremely wealthy women who are corporate professionals who either are, or would make, the worst mothers in the history of motherhood! It's what's upstairs that counts...not what you do for a living!

You mean like this guy?

YES!!! He would DEFINITELY be high on my list!!!

To further disgust you, in the UK these parasites on welfare (plain lazy not disabled or looking for work etc) have £5 ($7.88) taken out of their welfare money to go towards their kid per week, £5 on top of the money and flat/home the government will ALSO give the mother. Being a single mum actually pays off in the UK, many teen girls actually get pregnant on purpose as they know they'll get housed and income for free, have enough kids and you'll get a house to accomodate you

That doesn't surprise me at all! I read in the article where that "fine gentleman" was complaining about having £5 per kid taken off of his benefits...and then proceeded to make a case of that being evidence of him being a responsible parent!

Given the additional evidence that you provided, it doesn't surprise me that you would have girls who would intentionally get pregnant if they were basically poor otherwise. The fact that the UK would really take care of them doesn't surprise me either. I remember reading where they were actually paying prisoners who were being released early due to overcrowding...for the "inconvenience" of being forced to leave prison earlier than they expected to!

It's no wonder that I'm only in my 30's AND I'm already going gray! :1orglaugh

Funny I'm 31 and have also started to go grey! I'm not even that well yet still force myself to work in the family business and have never claimed anything, then I see all these young strong fit and healthy guys who choose to waste away and live off the state by doing nothing and it makes me angry. I have no problem with genuine help for the poor but some of these people make themselves poor(er) by having kids they can't afford to raise, many pretend to break up with their partners (to be single mums) so they get housing and benefits and are later found to be living with their partner (the father) who is sometimes working and making money  It's the abuse of the system I can't handle and the benefits teams should check on every applicant on a regular basis, I've heard of cases of women committing fraud but escaping jail as they have kids, they should be jailed (even if only for a month) so they miss their kids and never do it again. Criminals should lose some of their rights when convicted of a crime. I'm fairly liberal but the judiciary system in this country is a joke. ps Check out Jeremy Kyle on YouTube for more of these cases

The sharpest way I heard it put was that "the right for women to have abortions is as fundamental as the right for Black people to not be slaves".

When you get right down to it, the root of the anti-abortion ideology is all about controlling women.

that is the dumbest thing i have heard....today

since when is the right to determine if something lives or dies on the same level as liberty and the basic right to be your own man?

if a woman doesnt want a child that is fine

but dont use abortion to attempt to correct a mistake you made

there are exceptions ofcourse

but if a woman dont want a child then she can:

1. Keep her legs closed

2. Make sure the dick she is fuckin has an anti sperm shield on it

or

3. become a lesbian

what is so hard about that?

What about in cases of rape? You conveniently leave that out of your argument. Women CAN get pregnant when they are raped you know. Further, I believe you miss the analogy of a black man not being a slave any longer and a woman no longer being a slave to men, in that abortion provides, in a small way, women with the liberty to control their own bodies and destinies, and not be forced to be subservient to the will of men. Too often, sadly the "father" is nothing more than a sperm donor! He creates a problem, then bails, and it's the woman/mother who is left with the "problem"! Why shouldn't she have a major say in determining how best to deal with the situation? I don't see any of these anti-abortion people stepping up to the plate to offer to adopt these unwanted children! How would you propose to deal with all of additional unwanted children that would be brought into the world if abortion were illegal? Furthermore, don't you think, given the fact that many unwanted children would be born into a less than favorable environment, that the fetus would be better off being aborted in many cases? Yeah, bringing a child into a terrible situation is really looking out for the life of the unborn! Ha ha ha!

I'd like to know how people who claim to be totally anti-abortion, regardless of the circumstances, would feel if it was one of their female loved ones who was the subject of discussion. There are some who claim that they do not believe abortions should be allowed under any circumstances. I'd like to see how they would feel if one of their loved ones was gang raped by 10 of the biggest, dirtiest, you know whats that you ever saw! Yeah.....they'd support their loved one carrying that baby to term! Ha ha ha! It's very easy to preach and be self righteous when the subject matter doesn't affect you in any way! But, when you've walked a mile in those shoes...it's pretty damn funny how one's opinion changes!

For the record, I fully support the freedom of choice!

This is a tough question. i don't think a woman should get an abortion just because she gets preganent. after all it was the womans choice to have sex. However if a woman gets rapped then i think it would be alright because it wouldn't be the woman's fault then.

What's always amused me is the fact that one needs a license to drive a car (legally that is...ha ha ha!)...but to have a kid (naturally)...all you need to have is working "plumbing"! Kinda puts things into perspective when you think about it!

The day Obama brings a bill into the senate proposing that parents need to take a test before pregnancy would be Glenn Beck's ultimate orgasm.

Please, make that happen!!! :1orglaugh

1. If all of the women chose to keep their legs closed to avoid pregnancy, there would be very few guys out there getting laid.

2. Condoms break.

3. Seriously?

And how many times do people get pregnant when they're using protection? My best friend was married, and was using two forms of protection. Condom broke but she was like "well I'm on the pill for backup so no biggie". She winds up pregnant. Her and her husband did EVERYTHING right, but it still happened and they don't want kids at all, like ever. So she aborted, and he got a vasectomy to ensure pregnancy doesn't happen again. They're mature, responsible people who just simply didn't want children...they went and made sure they were protected and it still failed them. The world isn't so black and white...you can't assume that the only way to keep a girl from getting pregnant is for her to stop being sexually active or to use condoms.

So based on your thinking, if you want to avoid becoming a father, then you should:

1. Stop having sex

2. Use condoms 100% of the time (still not an intelligent option, condoms aren't reliable at all)

3. Go gay.

Do you live by those three terms? Didn't think so.
