9.jpg Days left for Pence to spread the plague around the country.

Mark Meadows: "We're not going to control the pandemic. We are going to control the fact that we get vaccines, therapeutics and other mitigation,"
Jake Tapper: "Why aren't we going to get control of the pandemic?" Tapper pushed back.
MM: "Because it is a contagious virus, just like the flu,"
JT: "Why not make efforts to contain it?"
MM: "We are making efforts to contain it,"
JT: "By running all over the country, not wearing a mask? ... That's what the vice president is doing."

Trump and Friends are back to calling it the flu and not trying to get control of it. Meadows says they are 'trying to contain it', but evidence appears to show otherwise. At least Harris took some time off when her staff had a couple positives.

I am in America, not of it.

The final debate was more civil, but certainly less entertaining. Nothing much came out of it, besides Biden seeming more concerned about all Americans instead of a narrow swatch. Trump seems to be more concerned about how much people get paid rather than their environment. Getting paid and having a clean environment is necessary. Are they really mutually exclusive?

Over the past three decades, revisiting my hometown is quite depressing. There is no pollution from the razed steel mill across the river, but plenty of unemployed folks just hanging around. There was once a time of full employment, but a nasty sulphur-smelling (like rotten eggs) orange cloud frequently lingered in the air. Trump promised to help those people, but it doesn't seem to have worked out that way - even before COVID. To be fair, no one else has helped them much since then either.

Coal towns are in a similar bind. Is it worth getting black lung in exchange for a paycheck?
Two of my Uncles died of Black Lung from coal mining. It was either that or starve where they lived. One became a safety inspector like his Father was in the Mines. Said they got rid of Black Lung by using a water mist to keep the dust down. Now everyone has rheumatism. Working man cannot win but might settle for breaking even.

NY Post Endorses Trump - ignores his rule in creating "annus horribilis"

"We can return to the explosive job creation, rising wages and general prosperity we had before the pandemic. We can have economic freedom and opportunity, and resist cancel culture and censorship. We can put annus horribilis, 2020, behind us and make America great again, again. We can do all this — if we make the right choice on Nov. 3."

Fie nights of sleep, I hope all of us find good sleep, and the general trend of which candidate has more votes... I hope it will be a clear result, this way or the other.

Has Meester made his election prediction this year? That guy was so spot on in 2016, I'm sure he's got it nailed down again this year.

He has not clued us in on their pick yet. Word on the street is that the result was predetermined months, if not years ago, by the cabal. The results will be unveiled to us at a time of their choosing.

Poor Lindsey has to go onto Fox to raise funds. He should get Trump to call some of his friends and raise those billions for him.

Trump: “I call the head of Exxon. I don’t know, you know, ‘How are you doing? How’s energy coming? When are you doing the exploration? Oh, you need a couple of permits?'" Trump told supporters. “I say, ‘You know, I’d love [for] you to send me $25 million for the campaign.’ ‘Absolutely sir, why didn’t you ask? Would you like some more?’”

1200px-Tally_marks-Five-bar_Gate.svg.png Only 5 more days until the real party (the counting and re-counting) begins. Will Trump eventually be invoking 'The 5th" at some point in his future?

@bubb - even Nancy is noting some delicacy:
"The easiest thing for [Trump] to do is to stand up like a man and accept the results of an election of the American people."

Unlike 2016 when Trump had momentum during the week leading up to election day, it is beginning to look fairly bleak for him this time around. Nothing is guaranteed.

Trump's American vision:
https://apnews.com/article/election...lice-economy-3082b995c1fd89129671b245797bc902

“He’ll [Biden] bury you in regulations, dismantle your police departments, dissolve our borders, confiscate your guns, terminate religious liberty, destroy your suburbs"

Remember the dire days before Trump when police departments were shrinking, guns were being taken away, churches closed, and suburbs destroyed? Me neither.
