Was watching the Michigan/Wisconsin game earlier. One of the announcers was talking about Michigan Tight End Jake Butt and said, "It's been a long time since we've had a Butt reception." I think I heard the other guy in the booth snickering.

Losing to Northwestern at home is worse than losing to NDSU at home. God. Damn. It.

Could be worse, you could have been named Paul Buttram. Remember Mr. Haney on Green Acres?

Jimbo Fisher has become unhinged the last few weeks. The UNC loss was primary on Fisher; he to conservative on offensive drives. He kicked 3 straight long field goals when his kicker missed long field goal in practice. Fisher was lying to reporters about FSU being within of stopping UL and UNC offenses from on their scoring drives. FSU's defense has paid 4 of the best offenses in the country, and we are very young, so they will have bad games. FSU's defense quit in UL game. I still say that are current roster still easily more talented than our 2013 team. I slightly above average coach could win a championship with FSU's roster in 2017.

Holy fuck. What did I just read and why do I feel dumber for having done so?

Guy, Iowa is never going to win a championship in my life time, so call yourself dumb for posting about your irreverent favorite team.

If you get the right coach to come in and recruit some good players, miracles can happen.

1979 - Howard Schnellenberger at Miami - The Hurricanes were a doormat and this guy turned them into juggernaut. They're nowhere close to the dominant team they used to be, but that's due to the revolving door of greedy coaches that won't stay more than 5 years.

2014 - Tom Herman at Houston - This may seem premature, but this guy took a piece of shit program and lost only 1 game in his first year. Add in the fact that more than half his recruits played high school ball within 32 miles of the Houston campus, and thinks look bright. If he can expand that recruiting base, he could obliterate the college football world.

Rooting for Florida State is like rooting for syphilis.

Once upon a time, FSU was my 2nd favorite team, and then Jimbo Fisher ruined that by ignoring all the bullshit that Jameis Winston was doing.

FSU needs to hire a coach with a backbone. (Nick Saban is a scumbag, for multiple reasons, but at least he actually disciplines his players)

LMMFAO---------GO BLUE!!!!!

With the exception of the busted office chair; Floyd of Rosedale is the best rivalry trophy in college football.

Michigan vs OSU is going to be HUGE. Already looking forward to it.

Meanwhile, how does Houston lose to Navy??? I could maybe see it if Navy's reg QB wasn't out for the season. His stand in only completed like 3 passes the whole game but ran for a gajillion yards. Anyway, so much for Houston.

Out west The Washington Huskies have become monsters while Stanford (missing two starting cornerbacks) has hit a brick wall.
Then again my Duck's defense is so fucking bad I don't think it could hold a Catholic Girl's School under 3 touchdowns.
Expect to start hearing some major grumbling from UCLA fans over Jim Mora. The honeymoon is definitely over. And understandably so.

Last year, Houston should have gone undefeated, but lost to a team they had no reason losing to. I figured they'd end this season with a loss. I picked them to upset Oklahoma, but I figured Louisville would get them. Now, losing to Navy and Louisville actually being better than I thought, that game could turn into a beatdown.

The real surpise of the year is Washington. They have a real shot of running the table and getting one of the playoff spots.

And, you're may be right about that Michigan-OSU game. Last year, I thought Michigan would whoop them, but they looked like shit in that game. Maybe Jim's got them in better shape this year.

Ya, I was disappointed last year, or should I say highly pissed. Almost put my boot through the tv screen. I have a great feeling about my guy's this year though.
