I figured Clemson would pull this one out. My father did too and he's an Alabama fan!

Perfect storm for Clemson.
Everyone knew the Alabama QB was shit but the RB was an unstoppable horse when he got hurt it opened the door for Clemson.
Alabama once again showed the bigger payroll WILL by you the better team but Saban doesn't seem to be able to purchase an average QB and certainly cannot develop one with his mystical UBER coaching.
Fuck Saban Fuck Alabama and certainly lay to rest this SEC superman bull shit.

As for Saban and his QB issues, I've known about this for years. The reason Saban can't recruit a QB is because every recruit knows that stepping into a Saban offense at Alabama means that you are being relegated to a game manager.

Game managers do NOT get drafted, and if by some miracle, some idiot decides to waste a draft pick, that game manager will ride the bench for a couple of years before being traded, or cut.

Why go to Alabama and throw 10-12 times a game when you can go to Podunk State and throw 40-50 times a game.

I guess that says a lot about a program when an "average" QB is all that's needed when the talent around them is 4-5 star. Who's the last Alabama QB taken in the 1st round of the NFL draft? I guess that's rhetorical as I could just as easily look it up. But Stabler? Starr? Namath?

Why doesn't or can't Alabama recruit elite QBs? is it because in Alabama's scheme their role will be diminished? Or I answered my own question - they don't need to.
