Spain is the team to beat...

I bet you said the same thing before this season's CL, that Barca is the team to beat. And now...they're beat and out. There's not one single team you've got to go through in order to win the whole thing, but many contenders who have what it takes to go all the way. Of course , as European champions and their outstanding players, Spain is one of them. But so is Argentina, Brazil, Germany, the Netherlands and England of course. I don't see either Portugal or France go too far, and sleepers could be Denmark or finally an African nation like Côte d'Ivoire or Nigeria. If Essien won't make it Ghana is done before the WC starts, and Cameroun had mighty trouble qualifying, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Prediction time: I'm predicting a rematch of the 1974 WC final.

France team sucks and Toulalan is no the worst/ The Worst is the cloach. But among the players, Gignac suvks big time : The Guy can score against Lithuania or Feroes Islands but we are talking about the World Cup.
And the coach let some of our best guys at home : Nasri, Mexes, Benzema...

I'm French but I hate Domenech, I hate him since the qualifications for Euro 2008. I hate him so much that I hope France will not make it for 1st Round. I will support every team playing against France.
Whatever the result he wil quit aft the World Cup and Laurent Blanc will be the new coach but I want Domenech to quit in shame.
The same shame we had after the federation decided to let him coach France even after the catastrophic Euro 2008. The same Shame we had when France ost against Austria 3-1.
The Shame we had watching the very poor performance against Lithuania (2x 1-0 for France).
The same Shame we had after the France-Ireland game, the very pppor performance of France in that game and the famous Thierry Henry thing

I don't expect France to go very far, either. The group isn't bad at all. Maxico hasn't played well recently, South Africa has a shitty team (yet, home advantage) and the Urus are a bit of a dark horse. But even if France will make it to the knock-out stages (I think they will), expect them to go down against either Argentina or Greece in the 2nd round.

The erratic team selection by Domenech reminds me of the catastrophic choices Eriksson made for England four years ago.

Mexico should win the Group. I think Mexico will be the darkhorse team this WC. I actually root for them in most matches. They are the US's main rival, but if Mexico does well it will make the U.S.'s wins over them even more awesome!

There could be another storming of the Bastille if Les Bleus stink up the joint this WC...

Y'all are gonna be stunned when France reaches the Quarterfinals. After finishing 2nd in their group.

Watch out for Uruguay. There's a ton of talent there that gets overshadowed by Brasil and Argentina.

I don't think he's kidding, a lot o french fans are very angry against the national team and its coach, Raymond Domenech. I Am.

I cant see it at all , they dont travel well outside of Europe , QFs is the best they can hope for I think

Terry will be shown up against a fast half decent foward , Lampard is poor in an England shirt , Gerrard doesnt play as well either in an England shirt , there goalies are shit , they only have one world class striker and that is Rooney , if he gets injured England can forget it

England are a good team , without Rooney a decent team , good enough to win it , far from it

It will be the usual suspects contesting the final again this year Brazil , Italy , Argentina , Germany , Spain , the cream always rises to the top and they always pull it out of the bag in the big tournaments

I cant see France doing well because the manager is a dope , I still cant beleive hes in charge and hes been in the job a few years now as well
