I would love to see bastian schweinsteiger join my team (Arsenal) He has everything a midfielder should have.

Oh man, I certainly hope not...

Now that van Gaal has taken over and Robben has taken a place opposite Ribery Schweinsteiger has found his true potential as a defensive midfielder who is the one to start attacks within deep his own half. He's not scoring as many goals as before (two so far this season), but he is so important to the team he cannot be missed (unfortunately he will miss the first leg of CL quarters). He has played some outstanding matches in the past, but was never able to show consistent form throughout a whole season. 2009/2010 he does, and that's definitely the work of van Gaal (douchebag Klinsmann on the other hand almost sucked the life out of him).

Anyhow, Schweinsteiger will play an important role on how far Germany will get in South Africa. And I certainly hope he will be playing for Bayern München throughout his whole career and retire with this club, a club he joined as a 14 year old boy.

Didn't they have a third place finish at the U-20? Africa has some good teams as well, and there are always some Asian countries that have potential.
