no usa had a way better team than Mexico and ok both teams were way different than the one that are going to be in South Africa but Mexico also beat the usa in the second game they played in the world cup Qualifiers the lost the first one but they had a dumb ass coach in that game and since they got Javier Aguirre they are 2 and 0 vs the usa and that win in the gold cup stopped the usa's non losing streak on American soil so you know it wasn't like the usa wasn't trying and Mexico still has there undefeated streak on Mexican soil going
I'm French and I think that France will win the World Cup (or will go far in the World Cup. This will be a good thing, either...)
We have some of the best players in the world in their championship, and I think that there will be a huge cohesion in the team. They want to proove that this criticism around them is unfounded.
Thierry Henry will do his best in order to forgive his hand against Ireland, and this is his last World Cup as a player...

I support England and would absolutly love to see us win it, but if I had to pick a second team I would have to go for Netherlands. They are just so long overdue to win a world cup and they have just got some incredible players.
I think Spain are the hands own favorite to win. Italy and Germany seem to have many more problems this time around. Brazil looks like a team with no chemistry. France is a mess. Argentina shouldn't even be in the World Cup based on qualifying..they look like complete shite, but since they are in...and since Messi is on fire..who can really count them out? I'm definitely rooting against them because Maradona is a disgraceful clown who doesn't deserve to be their coach anymore....
If the U.S. was perfectly healthy--no longterm injuries to Charlie Davies who is as fast as Theo Walcott, or The Gooch, who is a big, mean SOB on the U.S. backline--then I would feel better about the U.S.'s chances at surprising the world....:o
France have already named Domenech's replacement :rofl2: The FFF has given up already on Les Bleus....

Italy were in a worse position the last time , there game was in turmoil because of all the betting , bribing and they ended up winning it , everytime the Italians or the Germans are meant to be out of it they always end up doing quite well funnily enough
I took the Italians last time because the last time they won it in 82 there game was in turmoil as well , through bribes and betting , I just had a feeling they would be out to prove a point and they did :thumbsup:
Man, USA really threw up a brick against the Czech's the other day. I was not impressed. I know the majority of the starters were out, but they did not play well. :nono:

I'm hoping that too. But chances are very slim. The only African team with enough depth to reach the quarterfinals is Ivory.Coast (stupid auto editor! :1orglaugh )
Algeria might be a surprise. I think the team is better than the individual players. They show good spirit and discipline. And they denied Egypt a spot at the World Cup.
The others are just also-rans. Ghana is missing key players (Essien!) and plays in a tough group with Germany and Serbia. South Africa has a lousy team. Not even home advantage will take them further than the first knock-out round (if at all). Nigeria and Cameroon remind me of France. Lots of talented players but somehow they don't get their act together. At least they qualified this time...

Algeria don't seems dangerous to me : their coach has very few experience, they are missing Meghni, they've lost their 1st friendly match 3-0 against Ireland.
The offensive part is good but the defensive part is quite poor.
I don't think they're gonna make it through the group stage. I think only Cameroun and Nigeria will make it.
Ivory.Coast ios quite good but they are on a very difficult groupe, with Brazil and Portugal :eek: (and North Korea).
I think Cote d'Ivoire could pip Portugal for 2nd in that group.

All I was trying to say is that I think Algeria has a good chance to survive the group stage. The USA and Slovenia are on an equal footing. Seems to be the weakest group of them all. If Algeria advances, the second round will be the end of the rope.
Portugal will be the biggest dud of the World Cup. They barely made it through the qualifying stage. And their form apparently isn't too good either. This week they drew 0-0 against Cape Verde :wtf:
