I guess that depends on your definition of quarters. If you define it as the very first stage where they did not win any games and finishing last in their grouping before the next stage that they did not advance to, then yes, they got there.

The United States opened its tournament with a 0–3 loss to the Czech Republic. The team then drew 1–1 against Italy, The United States was then knocked out of the tournament when beaten 2–1 by Ghana in its final group match.

I do actually think that if every one stays fit for England they'll have a very good chance. But on paper Spain looks so good it's not even funny, for me they've got to be the favourates.

Ribery's only 26, seriously didn't realise that it seems like he's been around for years, my bad. Henry could only walk into the England team if he was are goalkeeper, he seems to be doing well with his hands more then anything these days .

Sneijder, Huntelaar, and Van Der Vaart are good players but i disagree there world class players, a bit like Joe Cole, and Theo Walcott for England.

It doesn't matter anyway to be honest because Spain are going to win it :thumbsup:

So England got United States, Algeria and Slovenia. We should get to the next round easily at least I hope so though if we get through we may have Germany but I'm sure we can beat Germany again.
