It was a domination tonight
Fed is running hot :flame:

Tsonga was tired out though, similar to Cilic :dunno:
Still, he had no chance at all :hammer:

The final should be good (if Murray loses )

exactly. No chance at all.

Fed looks good for the final, but murray looks good as well. It's gonna be a heck of a match ;)

i have came to the conclusion that murray is going to obliterate federer.

Federer's offense vs murrays defense, youth, backhand and quickness will lead murray to a victory in the 5th set

i disagree. in 5 sets matches, Fed is better than murray. besides, murray is gonna be nervous 'cause it's only his 2nd slam final, and because the 74 year drogouth of the british.

my bet is Federer wins in 4. ;)

go Roger!

The mind games start now: Federer piles pressure on Murray

Who ever said great champions don't use the media to get under an opponents skin. ;) Will be interesting if Murray says anything in reply if at all.

Robson won in straight sets to get through to the girl singles final, playing the twin of her last opponent. Could be a very good 'British' weekend indeed.

:)

some highlights of that:

"I think he really needs it more than I do, so I think the pressure's big on him"

that's not entirely true, Fed. You got a lot of pressure too. IMO, both players has equally amount of pressure. It's not like if it would be Federer-Cilic, where ALL the pressure would be for Fed.

"Now that he didn't win the first one, I think doesn't help for the second one around,"

ouch. take that, Andy!

Should Murray win on Sunday, he will also end Britain's 74-year wait for a male Grand Slam singles winner, a fact Federer was keen to highlight in his post-match interview when he joked about Britain's "150,000 year" drought.

 :rofl2:

any british around ? i expect some answer...

mind games donot work on some ppl, conciousley/sub-conciousely, especially scotts:Dlol. I think murray will take federers snootiness as an insult and beat the pants off of him to make a statement;fuel to the fire. If i was murray I would say, "obviously he is scared and not confident in his abilties as a tennis player, especially against me, (ive beaten him 6 times already)and is resorting to his notorious mind games." Andy murray is a machine, federer is too but I dont think what federer has said will affect the match.
I think another thing that federer said was, he has beaten me more then i have beaten him but it wasnt in a slam and i think he knows that" it was something like that, cant remember exactly.federer is good but I think you all will be suprised.
Federer will win after the way he CRUSHED Tsonga last night. Game over.
lol, i think venus williams could have beaten tsonga

The last thing you want to do is piss off a sleeping giant (Fed). Murray'd be best to keep his mouth shut and let his game do the talking if he's to win.

yes indeed, a good match to be seen.I cant wait to see murray obliterate

he is younger, we will see if he accomplishes the same as federer by thee age of 28,probably not, maybe tho, he has bundles of talent.its not if fed will be taken off the throne, its when..I think murray is going to suprise alot of ppl, guy is an animal

The only way that Andy Murray can beat Feds is if Feds blows it. As sharp as Murray has played, Feds is just as sharp, maybe better. Rog completely embarrassed Tsonga  Tsonga barely made Rog break a sweat

I see a Federer win in 4 sets-- 7-5,5-7, 6-4, 6-2

I wonder if the doctors shouldn't be more interested in surgery for repairing Rafa's tear. I am not optimistic that rest will matter. If a ligament has a tear, isn't it vulnerable?

What caused the tear? A lunge for a shot, shitty shoes, something else??

like i said before, IMO he should REALLY rest. that might include surgery. but a TRUE rest, not a couple weeks, but a entire semester or something. then he will be bounce back hard and kick the shit out the entire tour (except Roger, of course )

"Was in the end of the second set in one drop. And I feeled similar thing to what I had last year."

tsonga was injured, why cant ppl see when someone is hurt, ignorance is bliss i suppose

Lungzyn

Die For Me
He had run out of gas by then, but I hadnt seen or heard anything about him being injured. Maybe a link to an article would help :dunno:
You can get tired if you have two 5 set matches in a row beforehand.
Not everyone is like early 2009 Nadal, having a huge semi-final match then beating Fed in the final in 5 sets.
Same with Cilic, he had three 5 set matches in the tournament. He won the first set against Murray partly because Murray was playing like crap (he had better not start like that tomorrow :uohs:), but once he got into gear it became easier. Cilic couldnt keep up after a while.

I guess Murray can feel better since Del Potro broke Federers 'winning every final that isnt against Nadal' streak.
He has gone to five sets in his last two GS finals as well.

'To be the man, you gotta beat the man' :D
Right now Federer is the man considering his record, and Murray has never won a slam before.
