Die For Me
Stockholm Final : Federer vs Mayer
Cant see Rog losing to Mayer - Fed picks up 250 points in straight sets :hammer:

Moscow Final : Troicki vs Baghdatis
Should be closer, Marcos was lucky to make the final after being down a double break in the third set against Istomin :uohs:
Pick - Baggy :dunno:

Troicki won the ATP 250 of Moscow

It's his first title ever. Good for the 24-year old Serbian, who looks strong in the future. A top-20, IMO. Nole should be happy as hell, since troicki will be a big card in the upcoming Davis Cup final

For Baghdatis, it was his 3rd final of the year (10th in his career) in what is a more-than-a-decent year for him.

Roger Federer won the ATP 250 of Stockholm :nanner:

http://wbztv.com/sports/nationalsports/Federer.wins.Stockholm.2.1977177.html

It's his 3rd title of the year, 64 in his career (tying Pete Sampras in the 4th place of Open Era titles!)

It's the first ATP 250 in two years (since Basel 2008 -then 250-).

For Mayer, it was his first final in four years (Sopot 2006), still without titles.
But this is good for him, since losing to Roger is no shame at all. ;)

Now Roger heads to his home soil, Basel, two weeks from now. Over there, the competition will be much harder than this week, since Nole will be there, Berdych, Baghdatis, Cilic, Fish, Gasquet, Gulbis, Isner, Nalbandian, Querrey, Roddick :)eek:)

Who came up with the pre-match entertainment in Stockholm, ball kids doing robot style dancing? They played some Star Wars music after the match, maybe they were going for a theme.

Then in formation with the Swedish Princess (amirite?) at the end

Rog won a big globe - possibly converted Van de Graaff generator :nanner:

and shanked a couple but still hit lots of winners

By tying Sampras, he also passes Borg. Good place to do it, in BB's home country.

two surprising facts:

- Roger has now 35 straight wins over German players! Jesus! can they produce a decent opponent? :p

- Roger has reach the final in four of his last five tournaments he has played. Talk about bouncing back after Roland Garros and Wimbledon...

I want me the Jack Purcell tennis shoes that Tennis Magazine featured this month. I would post a pic but I can't find one. Run out and take a look in the latest Tennis mag

Does Bec Hewitt have big knockers? She's very pretty

extremely pretty, i'd say.

and her knockers are, like most of gals these days, fake:

good for Llyeton, tough. :o

:wtf: Dementieva announces her retirement?

I always liked that lady. Very sophisticated, very nice. I recall meeting her first at a tournament when she was 17. She was shy and didn't say a word. That didn't change for a couple of years. A very telling scene I witnessed at the Leipzig tourney in the early 2000s, when Myskina, Likhovsteva and Dementieva were sitting right in front of me and had a little chat: Myskina was babbling all the time, Likhovsteva nodded audibly from to time and Elena remained silent for two hours. :D

The lady has really matured over the years and became an eloquent ambassador for her sport. Very likable and attractive... I miss her already. :(

Whatever you're up to: All the best, Elena!

the SFs in Vienna are ready:
Melzer vs Almagro (go Jurgen!)
Berrer vs Haider-Maurer :wtf:

i think (want) Melzer to defend his title, since i want him to get into the World Tour Finals instead of the unworthy of Verdasco.

It would be very nice to see Youzhny as well.

:wtf: Dementieva announces her retirement?

her highlights:
- Olympics gold medal 2008
- French Open final 2004
- US Open final 2004
- she lost her last 6 times she got into grand slam SF

her lowlights:
- her seven grand slam SF lost

the SFs in St Petersburg are ready:
Youzhny-Tursunov
Kukushkin-Marchenko :wtf:

It looks pretty easy for Mikahil. Good news for him, since he's looking to get into the world tour finals. Go Soldier!!

Prince of the Rotten Milk
the SFs in Montpellier are ready:
Montañés-Ljubicic
Monfils-Tsonga

very interesting matches. I wish i was there... :(
Montañés is playing much better than cannon-arm Ljubicic. But of course, if Ivan's cannon works well, he will have a big Chance.
Tsonga is motivated big time, since he still has a Chance to qualify for London. A slim Chance, IMO, but still a Chance.

Elena, noooo :crying:
Farewell

something to remember her:

I get so sick of the females always retiring so damn early. Hingis, Clijsters, Capriatti, Henin, Davenport...and the list goes on. I understand the career of a touring pro is relatively short, but I like to root for some of these gals. And the coming out of retirement is also annoying. :(

St Petersburg final:
Youzhny vs Kukushkin
head to head: 1-0 (Moscow 2009)
ranking: 10 vs 88
titles in finals 2010: 2 in 4 vs 0 in 0

so... a no-brainer, like they say.

2010 Basel draw is out:
Federer - Melzer
Roddick - Cilic
Ljubicic - Berdych
Isner - Djokovic

potential upsets:
Gulbis - Djokovic  (1st round)
Nalbandian - Cilic (2nd round)
Roddick - Querrey (1st round)

probably it will be Nole-Fed, the revenge (not only for the US Open this year, but for Basel 2009...)

lechepicha

Prince of the Rotten Milk
2010 Valencia draw is out
QFs:
Murray - Tsonga
Verdasco - Davydenko
Youzhny - Ferrer
Monfils - Soderling

potential upsets:
- Verdasco vs Simon (2nd round)
- Chela vs Davydenko (2nd round)
- Wawrinka vs Monfils (2nd round)
- Montañes vs Soderling (1st round)

Murray should have no problem for putting himself into the final. Once there, Youzhny or Ferrer could cause some trouble. But all in all, it's all Andy again (he's the defending champion)
