Wawrinka just beat Querrey in 4 hours, 28 minutes match.

wow

amazing match, very exciting, very emotional.
veeeeery good for the swiss, who reaches his first-ever major QF. :)
and big dissapointment for all the american crowd, who now have NO heroes to root for. :(

now Stan will face Youzhny, in an interesting match. Stan would be my favorite, ONLY IF can get a decent rest tonight and tomorrow. Either way, is good news for Rafa, who avoids Murray and Berdych.

to be honest, Rafa is already in the final.

Another AMAZING match, where Verdasco beats Ferrer ralling from two sets down.

i saw most of that match, and i have to say that i'm very, very impressed with the level of both players, specially of Fer's: extremely quick and accurate. I mean, the last point was something really, really awesome.
If he plays like that, he might have his 1st win ever against Rafa (0-10 so far)

We can expect at least another epic, like the SF in Oz 08 ;)

Federer magnificent amid the mayhem

http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/tennis/usopen10/columns/story?columnist=garber_greg&id=5548936

:nanner:

yay!

Roger plays like his old self: serving like a god, quick with his head and feet, focus, awesome defense. And the most important: if-you-break-me,-i-break-you-twice attitude.

Very, very, very shiny, looks the path for Roger. However, Nole is playing better than the last (long) months, so, he has to stay focus.

Happy times, not only for Fedophiles, but for tennis fans in general ;)

VERDASCO SAYS FEDERER WILL WIN US OPEN OVER NADAL

http://www.gototennisblog.com/2010/09/09/verdasco-says-federer-will-win-us-open-over-nadal/

me? i'm not so sure... i mean, Roger is playing great, without losing a set, but he has drop his serve too many times. And Rafa, is playing in "demolition mode", droping his serve only ONCE! (in 5 matches, amazing)

AND as we all know, rafa has the measure of roger...

BUT this is real hard-court (not like Oz), and it's roger's favorite and rafa's less-favorite.

I hope for a 5-set classic, with a 5-set tiebreak, 15-13 or something like that.

My head is with Rafa, but my entire heart with Roger.

Will Federer and Nadal meet again?

http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/tennis/usopen10/columns/story?columnist=granderson_lz&id=5551329

Is it the most important match ever? I don't know. I still tend to go with Billie Jean King versus Bobby Riggs. But damn, this would be a very close second. Not only could it produce the most tension-filled tennis of the year, but all-time tennis supremacy is at stake. This match, if it happens, could place an asterisk on one player's career and an exclamation point on the other. But more importantly, it could be the period to what has become one of the greatest rivalries in all of sports.

In other words, a moment you don't want to miss.

I think Nadal and Feds will dispatch of their opposition in 3 sets setting up THE COLOSSAL GRAND SLAM FINAL WE ALL WANT

Nadal's play at the US Open has surprised the hell out of me. He looks so confident out there. Feds barely broke a sweat in pummeling Scummerling :thefinger a beatdown that I particularly savored...

I think Feds v Nadal will be a 5 set thriller. I don't know who will win.

Most one-sided USO womens final since 1978!
Seems like quite a few people thought it would be close, and Vera might win. Dont know why.
Congrats to Fiona, she was dominant.

Hope it doesnt rain tomorrow.

No Fedal final again!

:crying:

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!

to be entirely honest, i was veeeery down on saturday...

Final is tomorrow now, second year in a row :lame:
Get a roof, dopes

third row in a row that final will be monday

ROOF! Oz has it, Wimbledon has is, Roland Garros has plans for it... NY has shit in its head (not only for the no-roof, but for the super-saturday policy... it sucks)

The ATP site thinks Djoko won already
http://www.imagebam.com/image/f2e24e97501209
in another dimension, Nadal won already. Weird bug.

and i thought the ATP site was serious...

Novak had better win the first set to have a chance, Nadal is 106-1 in Grand Slams after winning set 1 :hammer:

exactly. Nole will win sets 1, 3 and 4. :2 cents:

Nadal will have to wait at least a year for a chance to complete the Fed slam though.

Fed slam ? which is that ? :dunno:

Fed slam ? which is that ? :dunno:

Beating Fed in every Grand Slam final. Pretty sure its never happened before for any player, not to mention Federer, since its hard enough getting the same guys in every final.
A few have done it in 3, but not all 4.
Not the kind of record Roger would want to be a part of :anonymous

Anyway, looks like a clear day
Novak has the recent H2H advantage with a 3 HC wins in a row, but Nadal might have the 'Rafa factor' like Roger had the 'Fed factor' on his side when he straight setted Andy Murray in Australia after losing the last few leading up to the match. It already worked against Youhzny, he was 2-4 against him or HC or something.
Then again, Djokovics dad has been wearing that lucky shirt.
It could use a volcano or storm cloud in the background to complement the eagle though.
