Too much unwarranted hate for Robin. He beat your favourite player, but he is still the Swedish Assassin/Soderking :nanner:

Chardy is out, I guess thats kind of an upset?
Ryan Harrison looking good for the future, although you could argue he choked at the end.
Ivanovic still playing well, she could lose next round though, as she got Clijsters.
Hope Dementieva beats Stosur, that might be tough.

Did you guys see the fight last night?

I love how it started. I wonder if she was hot..
“He said, ’You’ve got a problem? Go ahead and hit me,’ and she slapped him across the face” the source said.

--I guess these Nadal v Federer debates can get out of hand, eh..:o

--Who knew that The Situation was a tennis fan? Was that Snooki's mom that slapped him?

--I've got $20 here that says he was stuffing her in the back of her car after they got released from the handcuffs...:love-smi: :yesyes: I could ~feel~ the sexual tension all over the place...:nanner:

surprisingly, today so far there hasn't been seeded players losing...

Youzhny-Isner looks very nice!
also Wawrinka-Murray

Check out Nadals serve - 134mph top speed/121mph average. Thats significantly faster than usual.
131/117 last match too. Getting a new weapon there.
Istomin has some good stuff but he is too inconsistent. Losing the 2nd set TB after being up 5-1 calls for a

Hits the shot of the tournament in that TB and then lets Nadal take it. Shit, I want to see LATE matches that go into the midnight hour.

No problems for Fed again, and probably wont have trouble next round either with Melzer/Ferrero. Maybe Sod can give him a fight.

Someone give Wozniacki some tougher competition too, she has only lost 3 games in 3 matches :hammer:

Too bad Blake couldn't take that second set against the joker and made a match of it. Damn, Blake, Roddick...where are these chaps' careers headed?

I look forward to the Fish/Joker match and hope it's a night match in Ashe. Fish will give Jokeman a run for his money, but I see Joke winning in four sets.

Yet another tournament where the gents bore you to death by slavishly following the seedings and the ladies add some spice to event. Petko, Cibulkova and Fat Kaia ... :lovecoupl

Its 14 man-seeds(3 top 10) vs 18 fem-seeds gone(4 top 10), not too much difference (19 after the next match).

How can you play tennis professionally at the top level and be the size that Kanepi is? It must be genetic or something...
edit: Confused her with Kleybanova, but Kanepi is quite big too.

No shit huh? I used to go over to the public tennis courts when I was younger and get a match with this fat dude. He had crazy consistent. hard groundstrokes and was always a solid challenge. Had a bag full of old shitty rackets because he broke strings so often with his serve. :surprise:

It is definitely genetic.

It's going to be his good ol' pal, Jurgen.
Roger beat him a couple months ago at SW19 pretty easily.
This time, IMO, will be no different: Melzer is more like a clay-courter and has suffer already two 5-setters this week. HOWEVER, he played veeeery good against Juanqui yesterday, and Ferrero is no joke. I guess Roger will win in 3 with a couple of tiebreaks or maybe in 4.

And Soderling is playing great again, after his 1st round fiasco.
It's scary, to be honest, 'cause he's perfectly capable of beat roger in QFs, especially if his serve is working. Definitely that will be the hardest match for Roger, even than the SF (the final will be of course the hardest of all, against Murray)

:2 cents:

how about Sharapova?? EXTREMELY NICE MATCH :nanner:
i think Wozzie will win in three.

I don't.
I see Fish winning in 5, with a loud ovation of the thousands of north-americans in the biggest tennis stadium in the world. ;)

Nalbandian lost :(

that's good news for Rafa. Bad news for David, Argentina, and South America.

good for Verdasco, who seems to finally start to lift his head up, after a deeeeep slump. HOWEVER, next is red-hot Ferrer, who has beat veeery easily all his 3 opponents so far.
IMO, Ferrer will win in 4.

I agree...I'm pulling for Monfils, too. He has swagger about his game..

I watched Nadal destroy Gilles Simon yesterday...Nadal could win this thing gang!!
