Yippee-ki-yay, motherfucker!
One little surprising fact in the Big Ten so far: Penn State has yet to win a conference game this season, which includes losses against Indiana And Iowa.

Rick Barnes should be fired. How can this Texas team have gone downhill so quickly after dominating the first half of the season? They just look like a team with absolutely no confidence whatsoever. On January 13, they were 17-0 and ranked as the number 1 team in the nation. In their next 7 games, they have compiled a record of 2-5 with two of the losses at home (granted, Kansas was going to be a tough game no matter what but to lose to Baylor at home?). They have 7 really tough conference games left and I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them go 2-5 during that stretch either. Their team free-throw percentage is barely over 50%. Pathetic....you can't win that way.

This might be the most disappointing squad Barnes has ever had here. Expectations were so high and with all that talent....he has to be held responsible. Right now Texas is 5th in the Big 12 with really tough games left against teams like Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas Tech and Baylor (they have already lost to 2 of those teams) not to mention a game against arch-rival Texas A & M (who damn-near beat them the first time!). They might end up being in a position where they would have to win the Big 12 tournament to make the NCAA tournament! I don't think a 21-10 Texas team that ends up in 7th or 8th place in the Big 12 is going to make the cut. What a fall....I'm in shock.

Maybe we'll step it up in the NIT....:(

Huge game on tap tonight: Purdue at Sparty. You don't just walk into the Breslin and expect to win. This is going to be an extremely tough game for the Boilers. They're going to need to play near perfect basketball to get the W. Unfortunately, I don't think it's going to happen. MSU by 5 tonight. :sad face:

Take heart. Even Texas beat MSU!

Boiler Up!

Purdue's first win at the Breslin Center in 9 years. We are right back in the mix in the Big Ten.

I don't! Purdue better not get caught looking ahead to the Buckeyes today. A loss to Iowa would be very disadvantageous.

And Oklahoma is down two starters while the Cowboys pick the hell out of them. Anderson is smokin'.

The Big East is tough for the tourney, but look out for someone from the Atlantic10.

Ok....that's it. I'm not drinking the Texas kool-aid anymore until this team shows some heart. Loaded with talent, deep as any team in the nation and they keep losing to conference opponents they should beat. The loss to Baylor at home last week was unforgivable....now today we lose on the road to a good but not great Oklahoma team. Will, you must be feeling good tonight!

Until they learn how to win when they have to, they aren't going anywhere. They went from #1 in the nation 2 weeks ago to a 4 loss team and one that will likely end up a 4 or 5 seed in the tournament if this keeps up.

Unbelievable.... :(:mad::(

They have Longhorn girl now. Plan your trip to the big dance Jagger!

I never do.

Of course, I don't feel bad for the Buckeyes either. It's going to be one hell of a game in Columbus on Wednesday. I honestly don't see the Boilers walking out of there with a win. I'm going to root like hell for them, but we couldn't win in West Lafayette, and it's going to be twice as hard to win on the road.

Congrats to the Northern Iowa Panthers on clinching the MVC regular season title last night against Crieghton - they should be in the Big Dance even if they don't win the MVC tourney.

I hope you are right!

Tough ticket. I tried to get one but was unsuccessful.
