What I've come to notice this bowl season is that coaches act like celebratory jerks throughout the games...and then offer THE MOST INSINCERE postgame handshakes in sports...

If your coach has to be the #1 cheerleader on the sideline, your team sucks. I realize Pete Carroll sort of opened the door to this, but still....

FIU v Toledo was awesome. Tenn v UNC was memorable even if it went against what I wanted...

Miami v ND... pretty sad (but predictable) that The U would lay an egg today. No head coach. Not a great season. Dull hire. Pretty much a program on the decline, sad to say.

The Georgia/UCF game looks pretty good. Maybe it'll end up being my only correct pick today.

I suck bad this year at the bowl predictions. Last year I just sucked but this year i suck bad. I guess next year i will be the apex of suckage.

I'd have to say Nebraska is my second most underachieving team this year with the Horns being number 1 in that department....what a disappointing bowl showing (or non-showing) by the Huskers.

I'm cratering in these bowl picks but more importantly I was very distressed to see that Miami played like they left the motor in the bus running for the Sun Bowl. I know they are between coaches but, having watched the ESPN "30 for 30" installment of "The U" just the day before, how disappointing it was to see those guys just go through the motions against a very mediocre Notre Dame team. The old Hurricanes of JJ or Erickson would have pounded and pummeled (or died trying) the Irish regardless of the record.

There is so much more recruitment competition now with UCF, USF, FIU and Florida Atlantic now all D-1 schools that the lure and legend of the U is starting to fade I fear. Al Golden had better be all that if this program is ever to regain its rightful place as a major football power in the NCAA because right now they just look awful.

I think Goldie is going to have to usher out mass transfers and clean house bigtime. The players that laid down like that shouldn't wear the helmet again, imo. I don't see those same players buying into him, tbh.
