2010-2011 NCAA Basketball Thread

Congrats UConn Huskies. You are the top dog in the 2010-2011 season even though you finished 9th in the big east. No Hollywood story for Butler this year. Butler, you played well, nothing to be ashamed of.

Yippee-ki-yay, motherfucker!
Congrats to UConn on their championship victory; their defense really stepped up and they hit key clutch shots in the second half when they needed it the most.

Butlet most certainly belongs in the Gonzaga-caliber conversation now.

All Greg Anthony kept saying post-game was how this was the worst championship game in NCAA history. I didn't think it was that bad, but then again, I was flipping between that, the Twins/Yanks, Rangers/Bruins and the Factor. ;)

Here's to a college hoops season filled with madness and surprises :glugglug:

Looking forward to another exciting college hoops season.

I think he said it was the worst because defense was actually played in this game. This is how real basketball should be played, where teams grind it out. Not where one team tries to outscore another. It also was magnified by the fact that Butler shot 18 percent for the game. And Butler is definitely going to win in one of my brackets next year.

The defense was alright. I've never seen so many open looks hit the rim and fall short. Sad really. Last year Butler got beat. This year Butler beat themselves. Hit a fucking shot.

Lamb is going to be a good pro player.

Defense you say? Yeah, it's great defense when the team you're playing can't hit any open shots. Very disappointing game (and I had no horse in this race....was just hoping for an entertaining game. It wasn't). If this is how "real" basketball is supposed to be played, I hope I never see another game.

Great game for UConn tonight.

Great win but definitely NOT a great game.

Anthony was dead-on. The game was one of the worst I've ever seen at any level. I've seen junior high teams shoot better than Butler did. Connecticut played like shit too....they should have won the game by 30 points the way Butler was throwing up bricks all night.

Congrats to the Huskies but what a horrible exhibition of what was supposed to be championship-level basketball by the (allegedly) 2 best teams in the nation.
