On a serious note I would love to hear some intelligent theory that shows me that I am actually going to hell, or that any of the myths and Legends of religion are actually real. I have provided many examples of why it can't be true, and why even the very theory of omnipotence contradicts itself by definition.
The truth is I want religion to be true, I wish there was a big shiny heaven waiting for me if I eat all my vegetables and smile and wave at my neighbors each morning. That would be great, literally a fairy tale come true.
The problem is I have never heard a logical theory that was remotely convincing. The thing is though I want to. I want to be convinced. But just saying, "You should believe in it because you should believe in it. Do what you are told and don't ask why." does not convince me for a second. That is cult talk.
If you look at the reasons people become seduced by cults you will see that with little variation the reasons are the same as why people become religious. The only difference is it is usually the peoples parents who induct them into the cult of religion at a very young age!
So please, if any one has a logical argument backed up by facts as I have provided previously in this very thread, that can convince me to believe in God, SHARE IT! I will not flame you I just really want to hear it. If your theory has huge holes and inconsistencies I will point them out however in the hopes that you can explain them to me and make me a believer again.
By the way just saying "You have to believe or you are going to hell." is not an argument with any weight. That's like me telling you "you have to eat Burger King or gremlins will cut you in your *****.." with out providing any logical reasons why this would or could be true.

I'm making a serious point, why can't you at least attempt to respond in a serious manner? Why is your attitude to believing in god bound up in fear of the alternative?
