No one should be married against their will, my problem is she (Sarah Palin) said that they would definately get married just to appease the Christian population whose votes she wanted when it reality she most likely knew they wouldn't marry. She couldn't bare the thought that her own daughter got pregnant out of marriage to a guy she had no long term plans/future with. And qualifications are meaningless if you lack basic integrity, she's a Richard Nixon in the making.

Maybe so. But her lack of integrity following the Alaska Governor scandal means you can't really trust what she says, tell one lie and the next becomes easier. And now she's upset that both the USA and Russia have agreed to reduce their nuclear arsenals, to a measly 1,550 nuclear warheads each. So now she wants to antagonise Russia when the US can't even defeat the Taliban and goodness knows who they are still fighting in Iraq as I thought the Iraqi army surrendered by 1 May 2003! when President Bush announced 'Mission Accomplished' aboard the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln. If she got in and had her finger on the button she'd be firing nuclear missiles left right and center, and I'm sure one will be heading for State Trooper Mike Wootens house.

I was asking Ulysses31 how B.O. is constantly thinking about trying to fix problems in the U.S. when he's filling out basketball brackets? It came across as his point as to why B.O. could not answer a simple question and went into a diarrhea spill instead. Does he have time to fill out basketball brackets but not answer a simple question?

It seems B.O. feels obligated to put on a showcase about filling out is brackets each year.
It also seems B.O. isn't very interested in giving straight answers when it comes to health care either and other important issues facing the country.

Have you never met a politician before? They never give you a straight answer as they usually don't want to incriminate themselves in any future discussians. He only goes to these sporting events and appears to be interested as that's the only place he'll get to meet the stupid Americans who care more for sports than politics, then start bitching after people get elected about how their lives are being ruined. If B.O. only went to formal functions/events, he'd meet less than 10% of the people he represents, he has to lower himself to appear that he is an average guy that is on the same level as you, when in reality he isn't.
He can start by leaving office.
Since he grew up in Hawaii for most of his childhood and didn't move to Chicago until he was an adult in his 20's, which is when he became a fan, how is he supposed to answer it?

Being president of a country is not about a resume. It's about your decision making, your ability to articulate and uphold the values of a nation and the ability to effect policy in the nations interests, not your own.

- What is your view of the Bush Doctrine?
and
- What newspapers and magazines do you regularly read to keep up with the latest issues?
Palin (and McCain, as well, IIRC) and her friends at Fox (and most of today's teabaggers) considered that to be "gotcha" journalism. Questions about subjects relevant to the presidency and the qualifications to hold that office (e.g., would anyone other than the most devoted teabagger have voted for her if she had said "I like to read Martha Stewart Living and TeenBeat and The National Enquirer to keep up with things"???). THAT was "gotcha journalism" - but asking Obama about his favorite baseball players and then critiquing his answer as though it's so fucking significant, that is NOT playing "gotcha", huh? That's just having valid concerns about the fitness of the president to hold his office???

Maybe since he's supposed to be something of a baseball fan, some would expect Obama to give a snap answer. I couldn't care less. But I've never liked baseball. If they ever do a part 2 to the movie Idiocracy (a stupid, yet somewhat interesting movie), they should make the President a woman who looks just like Palin.

It's the WASHINGTON Nationals. He's not organizing communities in CHICAGO anymore. I thought it was bush league (no pun intended) and disrespectful. Even liberal friends of mine who like BHO thought it was retarded to say the least. And I hope they never invite him back to Nationals Park to be honest, because it took us a LONG time to get a team back here and even though they suck, a lot of us love having a MLB team again.
