It appears that no one is interested in this,as only 2 posts have been nominated.So as the nominating period is due to close in 2 and a half hours it's not worth carrying on with it is it ?

If two are found good, then only those will be nominated. Isn't it? Why to stop just because a few more not so good threads were nominated?

Well we can't re-nominate so after seeing om3ga's post had already benn nominated I had nothing to add. I've been waiting for vote.

Exit poll time: Seraphim has some excellent ideas regarding the bestowal o am I allowed to say that here? :o )...regarding the issuance of this honor, especially the idea of enlisting James Earl Carter (brother of the late Billy) (and also neighbor in the same gated community--Jimmy, that is) to supervise these elections.

And to counter the thought that is in the mind of many of those reading this, emphatically no, it is not my predilection to consistantly ingratiate myself with persons of authority.

First the nominating period is closed.When it is open you can not nominate your own posts (I'm not going to comment on this as I will upset you).
Second you can only nominate posts between the dates that are posted when the nominating period is open.Which is a week period!

P.S.
The reason I want conformation on if this should continue is the poor showing of nominated posts.People have the chance to nominate 2 posts in a week so you could nominate one early in the period and save the other till if a better one comes.

I mean the first week only 4 nominated and 2 the second week,out of the hundreds of posts posted in that week.Surely there should be at leats 10 on a average week.It just makes me think no ones intrested.

Nominating will be between Tuesday to Saturday.
There will then be two days of voting Sunday & Monday.
Then the winner will be announced on the Tuesday as a sign to start for the new nominating period.
In case of a tie, both posts will win.

As this is the second time you've done something I've asked not to be done in the rules.The first time I let it go.You can nominate it on Tuesday as it will fall into the time period for next week.
