If you approach it from my POV, then just like after a heavy workout, liquid carbs are what you may need. After my real workouts, I down a CreaVitargo shake (creatine with a long branched chain carb from corn starch).
If I get my feet on the floor after coming, alone or with a women, then I have no danger of falling asleep. If I have to lay there for a while, it is almost hopeless to try and stay awake - or at least functionally conscious for the next 10-15 minutes... :1orglaugh
