Dang. Philly/Pit game opened with a firestorm!

Fun to Watch.

Too bad Chicago couldn't win in regulation. :(

I wish Chicago did win in regulation. I'd rather finish 6th and play the Pacific winner than 5th and go on the road to Nashville. Detroit really fucked themselves with that comeback. Rage.

I'm not shaving my pubes till after the lay, er, playoffs.
Well, maybe if my Hawks are out in one round.

Coyotes = Pacific Division Champions

Panthers = Southeast Division Champions

Jets and Flames = Out of the playoffs

All is right with the world.

I'm almost sort of rooting for the Panthers in that mess of the West. I would like to see Gabby, McDonagh, Stepan, Callahan and Boyle get a ring though.

Too bad that was ONLY the last game of the season instead of game 1 of the Turnpike Series. At least Malkin managed to get his 50th goal. Unfortunately Johnson blew the lead initially and Fleury has to wait until next season to pass Barrasso for all-time wins as a Penguin. Anyway, things REALLY get interesting Wednesday night. Should be a bloody good series....both literally and figuratively speaking. The Pens-Flyers series is just the smash mouth throwback matchup that the NHL Playoffs are all about. I just hope my Pens win AND they aren't TOO banged up afterward.

lol Toronto and Montreal's seasons.

:facepalm:

Guess what? More of the same next year! WOOOOOOOOO!

I know. I was following the Pens pretty intently this season, but I lost sight of the rest of the league pretty much. Last week I was looking at who was on the bubble for the playoffs AND I saw how horrible the Habs AND Leafs did this year. Though they aren't the only Canadian teams, I figured it was still a pretty dismal time north of the border.

Dismal time? Please, any Canadian who cheers for a team that isn't Vancouver deserves to be unhappy.

Pretty much all Canadian teams ate penis this year. But it really could be Vans year this year methinks.

I dig the Jets but they have the worst arena in the league, perhaps outside of maybe the Coliseum.

Okay, okay...the further a Canadian team was from Seattle, the more dismal things were for their fans this season? Ha ha ha! :dunno:

Anyway, I was just guessing that the Habs and Leafs, because of their history (though the Leafs haven't won the Cup in 45 years...which was pre-expansion), have the most widespread fan support in Canada, AND they were literally the two worst teams in the league.

On the other side of the spectrum, Pennsylvania's two teams both did pretty awesome this season. Sadly, one of them will be one and done in the playoffs. OBVIOUSLY I'm hoping that's the Flyers! lol

Predictions:

K, so preseason I picked Kings versus Capitals with the Kings taking home Lord Stanley's Cup. Obviously that scenario is still possible because both teams are in the playoffs. However, I will be altering that prediction.

Phoenix vs. Chicago (Blackhawks in 7)
Nashville vs. Detroit (Predators in 6)

New York Rangers vs. Ottawa (Rangers in 6)
Boston vs. Washington (Bruins in 6)
Florida vs. New Jersey (Devils in 6)
Pittsburgh vs. Philadelphia (Penguins in 7)

As a Flyers fan, I'm not happy that they play the Pens. (Why couldn't they finish 6th and get the Panthers?). Unfortunately Pitt is just too strong with Crosby back so Pens in 7 games :crying:

NYR over Ott in 5
Bos over Wsh in 6
NJ over Fla in 5

Van over LA in 6
StL over SJ in 6
Chi over Pho in 6
Nsh over Det in 7

Why do I get a bad feeling in my stomach about Holtby. I am a bit hesitant about Boston vs. Washington.
