Hahaha I was just watching the youtube video of what happened, I hope the Flyers mop the ice with the penguins!! lol.. :brick:

I recorded the NBC feed but the recording ended before all this stuff happened... don't forget they still gotta play 1 more regular season game against each other next saturday to add insult to injury, and then they'll meet in the 1st round of the playoffs, thats gonna be a hell of a series to watch!!! :horse::nanner:

Think Crosby's gonna play that game?

Think Crosby's gonna play that game?

Its tough to say.. If home ice advantage is @ stake, crosby would prolly wanna play that game, but I don't know if you risk it? I guess We'll have too wait and see how big of a factor it is deciding who will get home ice advantage.. I think if its already decided by that game, whether the pens clinch home ice or the Flyers clinch it, and that game has no ramifications either way, no matter the results, win or lose, I would probably keep crosby out of the game just to be safe, I know I am gonna be watching that game!!!! :eyeso:  :nanner:

You just know the flyers are gonna be gunning for him. I'm so sick of Crosby. Hell, he didn't even play most of the games this year and he's still all everyone wants to talk about. Nobody cared when Marc Savard got decked twice (once on a blatant cheap shot) but now that Sid's gotta deal with the headaches, everyone's ready to "change the culture". Fuck that shit.

I definitely hear ya' dude, I think the penguins as a whole got away with allot of shit in the 09 finals against my Red Wings, I still think Bettman, crosby, and malkin were having a threesome somewhere sucking each others dicks!! lol.

I have always hated crosby, and hear what your saying, I think its because crosby it one of the best, if not thee best player in the world, he is so bandied about, Savard, isn't as good and not as well known, so he got overlooked and wasn't really a big issue to anybody outside of boston, not that Savard isn't a great player, but he's not on the level of crosby. and I know that sucks, but the league revolves around crosby and few other SUPERSTARS and when they get hurt, its bad for business, its bad for the NHL..etc..

I think concussions have been a MAJOR concern for a couple of years now, more so now cuz of crosby, but back when Lindros started having major issue's with them and other superstars started getting them on a regular basis, the NHL is really trying to curtail the concussion syndrome / epidemic and trying to protect there players more so now that they have more knowledge about the problems concussions produce not just present / short term, but long-term effects as well. :2 cents:

I'll take that 2-1 Bruins win over the Rangers last night, looking forward to Tueday's game against Pittsburgh.

As if Mike Milbury wasn't already enough of a douchebag...

im sorry if youre a crosby fan... but he is ALWAYS throwing cheapshots, slashing, and waving his "im the face of the nhl" flag in front of the players and refs. its a shame he didnt learn from his last concussion that it doesnt pay to be a whiny second rate jari kurri... i refuse to put him in league with gretzky.

I didn't actually say one thing about Crosby. I was talking about Mike Milbury. His comments were ridiculous. It doesn't matter if you like Sidney Crosby or not. What happened is what happened, so your opinion on Crosby is irrelevant. He finished his hit during the play and then well after the fact (and the whistle) while the skaters were heading back to the bench Brayden Schenn cross-checked him from behind. Then Joe Vitale delivered a beautiful (and fully legal) hit on Danny Briere and the Flyers retaliated. Peter Laviolette became an idiot and made a fool of himself by breaking sticks and yelling from around the bench. Dan Bylsma had the class and the intelligence not to respond and make a fool of himself in turn. And Tony Granato had his head coach's back and did the yelling back himself.

So that's what happened. Then Milbury calls Crosby a punk and says that Bylsma should take his skirt off. If you've ever heard Milbury speak before this then you know that he's an idiot and doesn't know what he's talking about anyway. But to call out Crosby, arguably the best player in the game, and Bylsma, one of the best head coach's in the game, both of whom are Stanley Cup winners, that's laughable. Milbury is the guy who traded away Zdeno Chara, Wade Redden, Bryan Berard, Eric Brewer, Darius Kasparaitis, Bryan McCabe, Roberto Luongo, Tommy Salo, Olli Jokinen, Todd Bertuzzi, Tim Connolly, and Raffi Torres without getting anything in return. Milbury also picked Rick DiPietro first overall in 2000 over Dany Heatley and Marian Gaborik and traded Jason Spezza as part of the deal to get Alexei Yashin. He's a complete moron. The Islanders are still trying to recover from the damage he did to them over a decade ago. There's nothing that he could say that would ever be worth listening to. He was stupid to begin with, but these most recent comments that he made just made him look even more stupid than he already did.

Boston has a love hate relationship with Milbury. As for Pittsburgh well let them deal with more of a Philadelphia retaliation in the playoffs, that series is going to be a must watch. And someone needs to punch the bolts off Malkin's neck, I hope Marchand takes his legs out from under him tonight.

I'm brand new here....been a total lurker so far but after the goddamned muthafuckin' St. Louis Blues pissed away a 2 goal lead with a little over 6 minutes left against the goddamned muthafuckin' Detroit Red Wings tonite to lose in a goddamned muthafuckin' shootout it makes me want to burn my goddamned muthafuckin' Bernie Federko jersey!!!!!!!!!!!! :hairpull::mad::hairpull:

Who is going to grow a playoffs beard?

Hahaha my beard always itches when I am watching the playoffs cuz some of those guys just let there beards grow and grow etc... out of control.. and it reminds me of how good it feels when its not to long and your face can breath, because I keep mine pretty much trimmed, when I shave my head I always shave me beard down to a shadow and let it grow back again.

Whoa what a fuckin game in St.Louis tonight, it looks like the Red Wings found the Hot Wings switch and flicked it before the game, they played pretty good, both teams played like well coached great teams, Detroit, has this knack for jumping out of slumps or getting their confidence back @ the most unexpected times, if you watched them play Columbus and Nashville last week, and predicted that they'd get trounced / embarrassed by the Blues in St.Louis you'd have and be thinking like most would, the same way I did, the Red Wings are gonna get there asses handed to them, then out of nowhere, the Red Wings come into St.louis, only the team with best HOME record in the league (Shared with Detroit) and the Red Wings play almost like they do when there @ home, a short breakdown in the 3rd period during a 5 minute major PP, where they didn't play very well @ all, BUT, they didn't lose there confidence, held there composure, battled the odds, really fought off a hostile St.Louis crowd showing they can face the adversity, and what looked like a sure loss, turned into a tie game in like 2 minutes, then they almost won the game in regulation, & OT before stealing the decision by shoot-out victory. great game, I am glad Detroit found there A game sort of speak. I think if they play like that the next 2 games and into the playoffs they can fuck around and win the cup if they somehow stay healthy, but anything can happen. gentlemen get the beer, roll the blunts / joints, load the bowls :flame: :joint: strap in & let this MF'er get started. :D :nanner:

Umm can't help it dude. I am not a fan of the type of team my team is, but they win, as far as who is gonna play for both teams? I dunno, I imagine although Detroit and NJ are not in the same conference, I would guess all of the regulars will still play, if not, I'd be surprised, Detroit still has not nailed down the 4th spot in the west, and I think they very much wanna do that before they start resting guys, besides most of our STARS have recently been out with injuries, so they got long breaks, Datsyuk, Bertuzzi, Franzen, Clearly, Lidstrom, Ericksson, etc... Sheeesh, am I forgetting anybody? have all just come back from long injury layoffs so who needs rest. :dunno::2 cents:

I've already got one going. What sucks is that right when it gets past the itchy/irritating phase, and actually feels comfortable, it's time to shave it off. lol

As much as I'd like to have it going still in June, I'm not feeling all that great about my Penguins' 1st round match up with the Flyers. They need to be able to play the way they have in the 1st period the past few match ups against them...BUT for all 3 periods for a change. Now that home ice has been decided, I'm guessing most of the stars for both teams will see limited (if that) action Saturday (Malkin has 49 goals & would like to hit 50, and Fleury is tied for the career record for wins as a Pen, so who knows about them). Call me cautiously optimistic that my Pens will make it to round two. Rarely do you have a time where two 100+ point teams meet up in the 1st round, but it will happen this year, and one team will be sent home early. I'm just hoping it's the team on the eastern end of I-76, AKA the Pennsylvania Turnpike (for those of you who are "geographically challenged," that's the Flyers).

Now on an semi-unrelated note, regarding Crosby and concussions, it turned out Crosby actually was suffering concussion like symptoms from a neck injury the last time around & likely didn't actually suffer a concussion at all. It was when he was examined the last time that they discovered it (it was missed/over looked before) and actually treated the neck issue. That's why he was able to make a fairly speedy return following that. That being said, I'm sure anytime anyone messes with him, someone will jump in to protect him from here on out just the same.

Anyone else see Ryan Clowe reach over the bench and interfere with a potential breakaway yesterday in LA? That could have won the game for the Kings, but the refs didn't even see it. How does a four man crew miss a player on the bench reaching onto the ice and hitting the puck with his stick!?! Ridiculous, San Jose continues to try and give Vancouver a run for the title of most classless team in the sport.
