I see where you're coming from, but I love it. I love the draft, skills comp. and game. I get to watch 82 games worth of slug it out hockey + an undetermined amount of bruising do or die playoff games. It's cool to see these guys off the ice and outside their comfort zones at the draft and then put on a show at the skills competition. Then the game is 60+minutes of the world's absolute best players having fun and showing off, which is awesome for me because I love the absolutely ridiculous skill on some of these guys (Datsyuk, anyone?). It's only one week of the year, so it's not like it's a total drawn out pain in the ass. I guess it might have something to do with watching the game with my dad, brother and sister when I was a kid, and I'm still relatively young, so maybe I'll grow out of it.
