NFL '11 Season Thread

I dunno. How many drafts have they missed on recently? A lot.

Can't be good news for Caldwell. He doesn't have the built up goodwill that Irsay had, and that wasn't even enough to save Irsay. Their whole situation seems a bit messy. Seems to me that they want a fresh start, and that starts with freeing up a load of money by saying bye-bye to Peyton Manning.

the Colts have not a good draft in 3 years maybe more so i'm not totally surprised. Rams are going hard after Jeff Fisher with Miami as the main competition.

I woke up to the best news today. My Bears have finally fired GM Jerry Angelo. It's about damn time they have this guy his walking papers. I give the owners, the McCaskey family and in particular George McCaskey who is now in charge for making this move. Hoepfully the news that the Polians are on the market accelerated the move to fire Angelo. I hope, I pray that the Bears are zeroing in on the Polians.

Norv Turner and AJ Smith both to come back next season in San Diego

Its been nice thinking Dean Spanos had common sense as a football executive, but clearly he has ZERO clue on how to run a football team. Only reason he will never go is because his father owns the team. To be a Chargers fan.

Does Matt Flynn's performance hurt Rodgers chances for MVP?

I'd also like to point out, Stafford finished the season with more wins, more yards, more TD's, less INT's, higher QB rating and a higher completion percentage than Eli Manning. :1orglaugh

Are you kidding me??? What a fucking dumbass! You have a team that is a nightmare for every team in the NFL, but they can't make it to the playoffs because of their terrible coach. Thankyou so much, Spanos... You're killing your team, it gives every team in the AFC a chance to get to the super bowl next year.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry?

Maybe the Chargers owner is too cheap to fire Norv Turner and AJ Smith. It's a whole lot cheaper than a severance package and hiring someone else. Robert Sarver, Donald Sterling, Bill Bidwell and William Clay Ford know what I'm talkin bout.

Bengals @ Texans <-- Bengals have a solid defense and offense, they just have to start giving the ball back into Green's hans. A banged up 3rd String, Rookie QB??? That's just to much of an injury for the texans to over come.. 20-13

Lions @ Saints <-- It's not that I think the Lions are bad, it's just that the Saints are fucking amazing.. 42-24

Falcons @ Giants <-- This is the toughest choice, but I have to go with the Giants just because Atlanta can't seem to get it done on the road most of the time... 24-16

Steelers @ Broncos <-- Upset!!!! I think this might be the best home field advantage I've ever seen.. Whenever you make the other team's star safety miss the game, gives you great home field advantage.. And also, God's been taking a 3 week vacation, but when he heard that Big Ben is playing he just had to come back and help Denver win.. Ben raped a chick, that's like one of the biggest sins out there.. You will pay! :angels: :1orglaugh ... 13-6

Time to take a look at the last regular season's picks..

New York Jets @ Miami <-- This is the last game Jason Taylor will ever play, I think Miami wins it for him.
The guy had a great career and ended it by destroying the Jets' playoff chances..

Carolina @ New Orleans <-- A good running game and an amazing passing game, that's some scary shit.
So many records... Brees: 5,476 passing yards, 468 completions, 71.2 completion percentage, 7 straight 300 yard games, 13 300 yard games in a season.... The Entire Offense: NET yardage of 7,474 yards, 5,347 NET yards passing, Team Completion Percentage for the season was 71.3%, Darren Sproles had a combine total of 2,969 yards, Only 6 fumbles all season, and 416 first downs all season...

So, they only broke 11 records this season.. No big deal..

Washington @ Philadelphia <-- The eagles win this game to save Reid

And he's safe for another year, but I'm still not sold on that defensive coordinator..

Chicago @ Minnesota <-- Josh McCown is trying to keep his dreams of being an NFL Backup QB alive..

Indianapolis @ Jacksonville <-- Some with Dan Orlovsky, he's going to win the game, but lose the draft pick..

I think if the Bears were smart, they'd dump Hanie and keep McCown. Orlovsky probably won't be on a team, unless the Colts trade Manning and draft Luck, they might keep him as the backup and drop Painter. And how about Flyn?!?! There's a good chance he gets to at least fight for a starting job.

Seattle @ Arizona <-- Skelton would have made the comeback, but his reciever fell down after calling for the pass.. I still believe

And they win in overtime!!!!! The Skelton!!!!!! Hey Cardinals, that was a great trade you did for Kolb... Nice one

San Diego @ Oakland <-- Adios, Norv Turner!

How the hell is he still their coach?!?! Absolute bullshit.. Thank God I'm not a Charger Fan...

Just hope it's not the younger Polian. He rode the coattails of his father, and from what I heard doesn't have the football smarts of his father is a cancer when it comes to dealing with people.

Then again given the way the Colts have drafted in recent years it makes me wonder if the elder Polian is really that good or if he just got lucky and was able to ride the on one of the greatest players ever landing with the team.

I think this season showed you the sole reason of why Indianapolis was competitive all those years, Peyton Manning.

Bengals @ Texans <--- Texans are at home and this is Andre's opportunity on the big stage. This will be a relatively close and low-scoring game but Houston prevails at the end....Texans 20, Bengals 17

Lions @ Saints <--- This game may end up being 4 hours long with these 2 offenses running up and down the field. I would absolutely LOVE to see the Lions win this but I just can't see Brees & Co. choking this game up at home. Stay tuned and get the  & out folks....this one is gonna be awesome. Saints 41, Lions 38

Falcons @ Giants <--- Atlanta had better find a way to get their running game going because Tuck and Pierre-Paul will be all over Matty Ice if they don't. I don't see it happening. Giants 27, Falcons 17

Steelers @ Broncos <--- As close to a dead-cinch lock as you can get. Tebow's magic seems to have run out. Belichick figured out how to stop this guy when he pinched the pocket and forced Timmy to go through his reads....and Pittsbugh's D is a helluva lot better than NE's. James Harrison must be licking his chops. Steelers 20, Broncos 6

Cincinnati @ Houston
Pittsburgh @ Denver
Detroit @ New Orleans
Atlanta @ New York Giants
