FACTS:
--Belichick used to "coach" the Browns.
--Romeo Crennel used to coach the Browns.
--Sam Rutigliano used to coach the Browns. He later went on to coach the Liberty University Flames.
--Butch Davis used to coach the Browns. He was later fired as head coach of the University of North Carolina.
--"Marty" Schottenheimer used to coach the Browns. He lost to John Elway twice in the AFC Championship Game, and later coached the Kansas City Chiefs--where he went 101-58-1, a record good enough to get him a head coaching job with the Redskins for one season.

The Texans currently own the tiebreaker in the AFC based on a better conference record so if they win out, they get the #1 seed even if both the Ravens and Patriots also win out and they all finish at 13-3.

The Ravens and Patriots still have conference games left. If they all win out, they're be tied at 10-2 in conference games. After the conference record they look at 4 opponents that the 3 have all faced. But I don't understand how they get that figured out.

Or strength of win?

I know strength of win is factored in at some point. That's why I laugh at people who complain about "running up the score." Back in the 90's the Patriots went to the playoffs over the Bills based on scoring more points against the Bills in their win than the Bills scored when they won.

Hmm.. I don't know about the Todd Haley firing, he had Tyler Palko at QB and Jackie Battle at RB. Kind of tough to win.

Tony Sporano should have been fired back in October, why wait and do it when there's only 3 weeks left.

Well, that just explains why these teams haven't been good for the past decade. Bad front offices.

And that's why I hate how the ravens haven't even tried to score in the 4th quarter in the past 2 weeks. Great playcalling, cam.

What are the chances Brandon Lloyd gets held to 56 yards with no TD's? I guess they're not bad if Bradford doesn't play. But, he probably will. Well, Megatron is getting benched for the fantasy playoffs.

I heard on the radio today that Haley was pretty much despised by every player on the team and a mutiny was possibly brewing in the locker room. Conjecture for sure but definitely possible.

I bet it's nice for Texan fans to see their team do well, especially with the injuries they have had.

I do wonder though if this season and their winning the division will end up having a virtual asterisk next to it in people’s minds saying "Manning was hurt and didn't play this year".

Raven that's not what its about, its the way the team looks, living in KC I hear a lot about these losers and I even watch some of their games and his play calling is just awful. Even in their playoff year the guy held them back with his moronic decision making, a friend of mine who knows absolutely nothing about football and she can predict his playcalling whats that tell you? :1orglaugh. He was an egotistical moron and a disgrace to the game. I have a few inside stories too that you might find interesting. Suposedly every single player hated him, and nobody wants to play for the jerk. Doesnt matter what the Chefs do, they will always suck!

Its all cool bro I didnt expect you to know about that bunch lol He cost them so many points it was a joke, he couldnt clock manage or game manage. no OC would work under him. Plus you know its bad when they didnt even wait until the end of the season. That GM sucks too. The Hoody built the Patriots, not any of his assistants or personnel.

Well, there are also a handful of other teams that have interim coaches and/or will be firing/hiring new coaches in the offseason. If, as an organization, it looks pretty clear that you have no shot at the playoffs and are going to be in the market for a new coach, firing your coach now gives you a head start on getting into the coaching pool, of which there are several candidates, but only a select few that are proven winners. Getting an early start is what KC and MIA seem to be doing.

Yeah dude. I didn't subscribe to the Kansas City Star this year. My bad. :D
