Doug Flutie was 10 times the quarterback Peyton is and I hate him equally. :glugglug:

I hope that was a joke. Flutie was a decent QB for a few years and was always a great underdog story. But Peyton is the best QB of his generation. Flutie is nowhere near his level.

LIONS! Listen very carefully...KILL YOURSELVES. I mean literally...go take razor blades, aspirin, rope, handguns or whatever and off each one of yourselves.

At least you'll put your fans (all 14 of them) out of the misery of watching you do it on the field every Sunday.

:cussing: TAKE THAT BACK NOW DAMMIT!!!

The Lions are a far better team than their record shows. When they can learn how to finish games and not shoot themselves in the foot(I am looking at you Julian Peterson:mad:) they are gonna be good. If you think that having the Lions on your schedule this season is just gonna be a gimme game, think again chumps. You are gonna have to fight for that W!

In other news, Tom Brady and the Patriots took an ass reaming today. :D

after a horrid first quarter the colts comeback and lead at halftime, just another day at the office for these guys...i hope austin collie is ok...took a huge hit and was out before he hit the ground

Will people finally realize the Lions aren't a pushover anymore? They could easily be over 500 right now. Chicago, Philly and New York were all games they should have or could have won. Things are turning around in Detroit!!

The hit on Collie shows the problem with the NFL right now. I understand the need to protect players, but that hit was a perfectly legal hit. Football is a dangerous sport and people get hurt. When that happens, it doesn't always merit a penalty. In this case, the defender tried to hit Collie low, but Collie ducked to avoid the big hit and that's what caused the helmet to helmet contact. There was nothing malicious in the hit and it probably did not deserve a flag. And it definitely doesn't deserve a fine on Monday morning.

All that being said, I hope that Collie is all right. They have not updated his status during the game after he was carted out on the stretcher. I'm assuming that he's going to be out for a couple weeks. Let's hope he gets healthy and we see him out on the field as soon as possible.

Mike "the laser" Vick is on a roll tonight, i really hope Collie right; it's a bit too much injuries for the Colts.

Damn, Eagles were the better team tonight. No doubt about it. Colts were outplayed tonight and both of Peyton's interceptions were awful passes. Injuries have depleted this team, but we didn't play well enough to win tonight.

The ending of the Lion's game today reminds me of the Lions team I got used to for the past decade before their previous two games.

no running game, peyton was too much under pressure...eagles controlled the 2nd half...hats off to the eagles and a great game plan...peyton was a little off today...this is the 2nd eagles game i've watched...and there's soo many guys getting injuried or hurt...the game went on forever...

I couldn't agree more. Manning looked like crap and even with several horrendous calls by the officials against the eagles, they were the superior team and prevailed.

Yeah, because you wouldn't want little things like facts and reality to get in the way.

Stats are not reality, they're just numbers tallied by statisticians to show people the odds in vegas;)

Winning is reality, and winning the super bowl is the ultimate reality which brees and the saints achieved decidedly.

And if it wasnt obvious before that final game, they should have yanked the mvp from manning after the SB and handed it to brees. but once again it matters little because as i said the real deal is who wins the big one.

All of that being said i would consider Manning a great QB, and at one time he might have been the best, but that time has come and gone.

Oh, I definitely agree with the blown calls. The blow to the head call on Peyton was a joke, especially when you consider that it gave Indy a first down after an incomplete pass on 4th and 20. Two plays earlier, he was hit in the helmet harder than on the the play that was flagged and nothing was called. Neither hit did any damage whatsoever, but if you're going to call something, be consistent about it.
