NFL '10/'11 Season Thread.

Wade Phillips is fired today, replaced by Jason Garrett. As far as i hate the cowboys, i admit he was a good coach who took them in plays off often, i really think it's the players who give up this year, not Phillips; but in a sport of inches where results talks more than great management, it doesn't surprise me.I hope we will see him again, he is a good coach after all.

I don't think Jason Garrett can turn it around.
:2 cents:

Cowboys season is shot anyway :( might as well give Garret a try. So, if he does turn it around, Cowboys end up 8-8 tops (doubtful) or more like 5-11 and it's good bye first draft pick, but we might have a new permanent coach if the games stay competitive. If Cowboys do end up 1-15 and the rest of the games are like the one against the packers... hello first draft pick, good bye Garret.

Why is it good bye first draft pick if they finish 5-11?

Truth. I wouldn't be surprised to see San Diego win out. They're a 2nd half of the season kinda team.

I think in order to win the West, we must win at San Diego next month. That game would basically be worth 2 games (in soccer you'd say it's a 6 pointer) cuz of the swing either way in the standings, but it would also gives us the tiebreaker over San Diego, having swept them.

Cuz there's no way in hell both Carolina and Buffalo win at least 5 games.

Well my Pats got their asses kicked yesterday by a upcoming Browns team and I think that Colt Mccoy is the future of the NFL at quaterback along with Josh Freeman

I know What the Fuck! I think that Colt will be a better QB than Sam, but not by much, maybe Brady vs Manning part 2?

Carolina may be getting 4 starters back but unless Clausen or Pike turn into Joe Montana overnight they have to hope the Bills keep losing otherwise they may pick First.

Uhm....Manning is already top 3 in career stats. That is a reality. :dunno:

Manning. On pace to break every major quarterback record. 1 Superbowl. 4 MVP's. I win. If you want to credit team achievements to 1 player, go ahead.

I don't think Manning is on pace to do much of anything anymore. He's seen his best years, and as evidenced by the way this year is going the Colts are on the decline.

And really one SB victory and one SB loss doesn't stack up to top 3, i don't even think it stacks up to top 10 in all time QBs.

I don't currently have Manning in the all-time top 3 (likely will be though when all is said and done) but he is definately top 10, for the simple fact that there aren't 10 QBs anyone can put above him.

The one and only.

Super Bowl wins don't mean shit. If that's the measuring stick then Trent Dilfer is a better QB than Dan Marino. And if Peyton Manning isn't on your list of the top 10 QBs of all-time, you have no business making a list. Peyton is statistically in the top 3 already behind Favre and Marino in every category. He's also a 4 time NFL MVP. Name someone else who has done that. Oh that's right, there isn't anyone else.

Get a clue, pal.
