NFL '09/'10 Season Thread

Yay. That means the Lions are the only non-expansion team to never make the Super Bowl. And the only NFC team to not ever make it.

Anyways it should be a hell of a game in two weeks. It will be interesting to see what the over/under is for the game.

I believe the Browns would fit into that list with Detroit, since they assumed the Ravens history prior to their move.

Officially yes, but there is also a gap when there wasn't a team in Cleveland. I give them a pass as they kept the records but still had to start from scratch. That being said yes they do suck.

I think Indy will be favored by 10....

but I got the Saints 28 Indy 24

It should be one of the best SB's in recent memory. Where was the site of Indy's SB over Chicago? Was that in Miami too? I remember all that rain....

Let's remember that the Vikings turned the ball over to the Saints 5 times. And, they only managed to win by a field goal in overtime. I wouldn't be too confident about the Super Bowl if I was a Saints fan.

NOBODY is fucking with Peyton this year! Did you see the look in that dudes eyes today?
While Sanchez was running around like a Pop Warner kid, Peyton was like "Meh, I got this!"

What's sad is the fact those 5 turnovers, don't even count the times the Vikings got their own fumbles back. I wonder if at one point late in the game New Orleans wondered how the hell the Vikings were still tied with them after all that.

I didn't even think of that. HAHAHAHA, it's amazing that the Saints won that game. The Vikings LITERALLY handed it to them.

The fumbles cost the Vikings the game. No fumbles for the Vikings and Favre is taking a knee with 2 minutes left not trying to get into field goal position. Still a bad pass but he got us to this game and I can think of 28 or so teams that didn't get that far with their QB's.

When I got home and saw the highlights I was like :wtf:

Seriously, and those fags at ESPN said it was a "good" game...

The teams played terrible. Nothing spectacular there. Peterson must be the dumbest back in the league the way he couldn't even take that handoff. It was pathetic.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, if I was 6'6" 260-70lbs, I'd be in that fucking league. I was a very good defenseman; I could've been an all pro offensive lineman. But it's the way the cards fall, and I'm 5'-10" about 190. Life's a bitch some times.

The one and only.
^^ I would take the Colts -10. That's as high as I'd go. I think they'll win by 14, but I bet someone the same line against the Jets and we only won by 13. I'm not bitter though, I'm just considering stabbing the person I bet with as a means of not paying up. That seems reasonable, right?

The Colt & the Saints almost mirror each other. Peyton has a bunch of weapons to throw to, so does Drew Brees. Both the Colts & the Saints had numerous games this season where they had to come from behind to win. The Colts defense is much better than the Saints. I think the Saints has the offense to keep up with the Colts though. Saints win a tough one 27 - 24.

I haven't been through all the latest posts, but did anyone hear the local Minneapolis radio call when Favre threw that last interception? It was fucking priceless. They were ripping into him right then and there while they were calling the game.

Nope. But he was probably dressed in purple face paint, a purple set of socks, purple underwear, a viqueens jersey and has all the 'queens posters on his wall.

If Peyton does win the next Superbowl I wonder what all the Brady fans that think he's better than Peyton will do despite over a decade of evidence to the contrary. Peyton will pretty much have closed in on the only thing they can possibly point to (Even if judging individual value on a team accomplishment is mostly nonsensical in the first place.) that Brady has over him.

I think it's destiny that New Orleans wins the Super Bowl. I'm still baffled how they won that NFC championship game.

I'll be rooting for New Orleans though. It's a nice story, New Orleans has been through so much. Also, Saints' kicker Garrett Hartley is a Sooner.

Five turnovers, and several near turnovers. Hard to lose when your opponent gift wraps the game and gives it to you.
