NFL '09/'10 Season Thread

The Vikings have gotten their mojo back. They will be a dangerous team in the playoffs. Brett Favre, Pat Williams, Antoine Winfield, and the rest of their older players will be able to get a week of rest so they will be ready in week 2 of the playoffs.

Go Vikings! :glugglug:

Indianapolis will be in the Super Bowl. Peyton Manning will be the league MVP. These last two games have been completely meaningless. Indy will be well rested when the playoffs roll around. When healthy, they're the best in the league. Peyton will have his team ready to go when it counts. Go Horse!

Is it just me or is Faith Hill the best part about Sunday Night Football? She totally makes up for having to listen to Collinsworth for three hours. Even at 41 she's still smokin' hot!

Bob Costas does this interview with him and soon after its over they cut to video of Chad hobbling off the field during warm up.
Trying to give the NY fans a lil false hope....throw them off perhaps?

Wheres Will E. when we need him?

Next Week

Green Bay @ Arizona
Philadelphia @ Dallas

Baltimore @ New England

& either the NYJets @ Cincinnati or Houston @ Cincinnati depending on the outcome of the NY - Cincinnati game tonight. :)

The Colts better win the Super Bowl, or they'll regret that decision to bench everybody last week.

Is Welker done for the season? I hate to see a guy go down, but fuck the pats.

Yeah I'm not a Pats fan either but you hate to see a guy go down like that and you could see how much pain he was in poor guy and that will really hurt the Pats I mean when Brady needed a first down he was the man he went to

Well it looks like three out the four games next weekend will be rematches from the final day. I haven't looked it up but I think it's a safe bet to say that has never happened before.

I know there is another half to go but Cincy is done tonight.

I'll tell ya,the Jets getting into the playoffs is a stroke of bologna bullshit here. Would they be there if the Colts were playing for something last week? Nope. Would they be getting beat if Cincy's starters were in? Maybe or maybe not but it wouldnt have mattered anyways after getting torched by a full starting Colts team in week 16.

I mean there's alot of good teams who earned the playoffs but arent getting in cause of this shit. Look at Sanchez. He's got triple digit picks and single digit Td's,he's bad. Houston fought there ass off the last half of the season,I think they're way more worthy.

^^ I don't think Sanchez threw triple digit picks unless he averaged over six a game. Ask yourself this question about the Jets: would you rather face them or the Steelers, Houston, or Denver? Exactly, your odds are better against Fireman Ed's boys. I'm not saying that's the motive, it's just something to consider. If teams are in the playoffs (like my Colts) and wish to rest their players, then that's their prerogative. They've earned the right to do that. If that influences who gets in the playoff and who doesn't, so be it. If teams don't like it they need to win more games during the season in order to ensure that they'll end up in the playoffs.

Naw he threw 20 at least. But the NBC football announcer jerks were pointing out that other QBs had lousy INT numbers their rookie years, too, like Terry Bradshaw.

^^
Exactly, while it sucks for some to be fighting to get in this late, if they won more often earlier they wouldn't be in this situation. Sucks on the Texans though, I would have liked to see them in the dance to see how they'd do... maybe next year. :dunno:

three games next weekend are encores of this weekend. Results will surely be different, but damn, how anti-climactic can you get

Id much rather face Sanchez and NYJ than Roethlisberger and the Steelers. Or the Titans or Texans for that matter.
