NFL '09/'10 Season Thread

After everything that was done today I feel that Matt Staford is a fucking gamer. Possible broken collar bone and goes on tho throw the game winning TD in a game that everyone though would suck ass. Turned out to be a shootout.

I wouldn't get too excited about Quinn or Staford yet. I think a big reason they both had good games today is because they each were playing the only other team that was as bad as they were.

I'm so glad,
Colts and Giants won.

I really want the Bears, continue to win. Maybe, try to win a few games.
I don't see that happening, which is very sad.

I had a feeling he'd go to the Vikings.

I know that and I am not "excited" about either one, but you gotta give credit for Statford coming out there with a possible broken collar bone and winning the game. As a far of football it was a great finish to a game that everyone though was going to suck.

Damn you want to talk about it :1orglaugh

Are you kidding?! I fucking hate The Bears. This shit is so fucking comical to me.

They are fucking idiots if they thought that the acquisition of Jay Cutler alone would make them a Super Bowl contender.Nevermind the fact they they have no secondary, the offensive line is...well,offensive,which has made the running game pretty pathetic, and that their receivers aren't anything special.

Everyone out here thinks that this was a deal that "had" to be made.I think they made an unnecessary move for the sake of making it,in spite of the fact that there were other issues with the team that they thought would either fix themselves,or thought that weren't a problem.

Can't wait to see who gets fired at the end of the season.Too bad that Lovie's still under contract and owed a lot of money, because he sucks as a head coach and really should be out of there.Ron Turner sucks donkey balls and I'm sure that they will make him the sacrificial lamb during the off season.

McDaniels' taunts have league talking
Associated Press

DENVER -- Josh McDaniels' trash talk is the talk of the league.

The Denver Broncos' brash -- some would say cocky -- coach exchanged taunts with a group of San Diego Chargers linebackers during warmups Sunday, at one point telling them, "We own you!"

Then, he watched those very players lead the Chargers' 32-3 beatdown that knocked Denver out of first place in the AFC West.

“Honestly, my thought on that is, I would like to petition Mr. [Roger] Goodell and say, if a coach can talk to me like that, I should be able to fight him.” -- Steelers safety Ryan Clark on Josh McDaniels' taunts

His words reverberated across the NFL, with fellow coaches saying they had never heard of this happening before and at least one star player suggesting they should be allowed to fight back with fists and not just their mouths when taunted by an opposing coach.

According to players who were either involved in the heated exchange or who witnessed it, the main target of the 33-year-old McDaniels' taunting was outside linebacker Shaun Phillips, whose sack and strip of Chris Simms on his first dropback set the early tone for San Diego's statement victory.

"As a coach, I hope he has that mindset, but to say you own us? You beat us one time," said Phillips, who is five years younger than McDaniels. "How much has he really done in this league? He had a team 6-0 and now he's looking up at us in second place."

As a huge Denver Broncos fan, I actually thought it was funny. Though, 32-3 wasn't funny. I'm just glad he's not a total snoozer:sleep: like Bill Belichick. We may not be the New England Patriots, but we're definitally headed in that direction..... especially considering where we were last year.

As for tonight's win.... not buying it! The Giants suck, and look in worse shape than the Denver Broncos. This was match-up of an average team, playing a below average team. What's going on with the Giants defense?

The Super Bowl Round 1 is this Monday peeps....who ya got?

I keep going back and forth with who I think will win and who I will actually root for to win...:weeping:

Hey, somebody needs to tell Indy's D that the game started. What the fuck are we doing, fellas? This is supposed to be best defense in the league in terms of points allowed. It damn sure doesn't look like it on these first two drives. Time to snap out of it boys, or this one is going to get out of hand quickly. No need to panic yet, just score here and get a defensive stand.

Watching the Bears this years has gotten downright painful.

As a huge Adrian Peterson fan, I now say Chris Johnson is the best back in the league.

Chris Johnson's problem is that he's too boom or bust. Somebody that picks up chunks of yards more frequently and constantly is more valuable than somebody that bust open a big run once in a while even if their yards per carry are similar. Adrian Peterson does have his fumbling as a factor against him though.

Cleveland lost again??? It's PM's year and the Colts look tuff! Why does the AFC West look so pathetic? Why is the NFC East so inconsistent? Why do I keep watching? This season is dull!!
