My thoughts on God

So why is it that hardcore christians are always trying to shove it down my throat?

Who? Smiley Joel Osten? He's a Pseudo-Christian and the Southern Baptists have been infiltrated by the Freemasons. Look it up.

You don't have to listen to anyone on any subject. Just walk away.

But if there is a "grand plan" as we are constantly told, free will/choice is irrelevant. It would mean that we do not have free choice after all, all we are doing is making choices that follow that set "plan". So by that logic, "Lucifer" was made by "God" who knowingly made him rebel. Free will and the grand plan cannot co-exist with one another, so what it is? Do we have free will, or are we all just slaves to the path set out by the allmighty at the beginning of time?

You have free will, but you dont actually because whatever you choose to do isnt actually your choice it's "Gods" choice to follow "it's" grand plan.

Hallelujah

Yeah that sounds wonderful

What grand plan? Have you been watching TBN?

If so stop watching TBN. ;)

Hey i was listening to a Flyleaf track wit my mate yesterday n we saw Jesus in the clouds followed by what looked like an eye lookin straight at us. I was outside on a park at the time so i swiftly went home. It freaked me out big time.
Never had a vision like that but now im gonna be a little more open minded.

I haven't many thoughts on God because I don't believe God exists.

If God does exist, I would hope they would understand and respect my opinion on this because that's all it is - an opinion.

Just like all of your views are simply opinions. Not fact.

Facts can only be called such with proof and evidence.

As facts on the existence of God are impossible to gather, Religions state you have to possess faith. But faith by definition is absolute belief without proof or evidence and there for can never be used as an argument for fact.

However you dress it up, it remains opinion.

A couple of niggles I have:

Let's say for argument's sake that God, in some form or other does exist. What is HE/SHE/IT getting out of all this? (ie. our existence, religion, the world in general)

If Lucifer/Satan/the devil runs hell and he is evil, why would evil people go there when they die and be punished by him? I mean why would the devil want to punish evil people? It seems to me he'd get more out of tormenting good people being evil himself. He'd surely applaud and reward evil people. :dunno:

The "mistranslation" information is wrong. I don't know who made all that up, but they have been sniffing gas fumes for too long.

God gives everyone a choice and Lucifer chose the wrong path.
Why would God create everyone perfect like robots?

That's why everyone is given a free will choice.

All you can say is that the information "is wrong," yet you provide no information to refute it?

The question is, did God know when he created Lucifer that he was going to betray him in the future?? If God didn't know, how come he did know things that were going to happen in the future because of this "fallen Angel," so much that he even told a group of men to write a book about it?? Furthermore, from where Lucifer got all this evil energy when he was created by God who's all good?? I have so called "free will," but I am good person and I know to make the right choices that will not viciously hurt others on purpose. If Lucifer chose bad, that means God created him with bad in him to begin with. And if God created "him" and he betrayed God, why not just destroy this bad creation?? It was all part of his plan I guess...

There's many places you could look for information on why those sites are wrong. Errors in the King James Bible?, That's just one source. :hatsoff:

What? That's part of your morning ritual. :D

Oh of course, you have to hear what Pat Robertson has to say about the "End Times", I wouldnt be able to start my day off right ....... nice an depressed :D

"Now, the lord didnt say it' would be nuclear, but I'm guessing nuclear" ;)

Assuming people believe in him, why would or should anybody expect God to solve all of their or even the world's problems for them? It kind of defeats the purpose of letting people have free will or growing spiritually themselves. Also, if God solved everybody's problems nobody would want to do anything for themselves. Life would become kind of meaningless if he did everything for people and they would become even more bankrupt inside then they are now. Maybe he doesn't solve all of lives problems because frankly that supposed to be our jobs and were not doing it and we need to learn how.

Exactly! There we go. Finally a smart person appears and all the others who've said pretty much along the lines of that. God gives free will to all human beings and he can't control that. That's the reason why so many people do not believe in God. He can't force you to believe in Him because it's the free will that makes you human. That's my opinion on this.

I have no idea what the fuck you just said.

You don't have to listen to anyone on any subject. Just walk away.

People come up to me in the street and tell me to repent. Groups of kids with shitty little leaflets tell me to join church because "its cool". People knock on my door and offer me low budget movies about Jesus and how he died for us "for free, as long as you join in on the prayer group next sunday".

I don't listen. I do walk away. Doesn't make it any less FUCKING ANNOYING.

Why do they feel the need to do that? Do they get paid a fee for every person they get to join the religion?

FUCK OFF, DO WHAT YOU WANT, LEAVE ME ALONE. Cunts.

Really! The site you gave me only furthers the argument of the sites I posted. For example, the explanation the site you posted gives for the mistranslation of the word "almah" (which literally means "young woman") into virgin was that it wouldn't be a "sign" if it just meant young woman, it had to mean "virgin," because it is not a miracle for women to give birth. That's not a very convincing explanation! Just because you want to create this fantastic story about a woman conceiving without having sex, doesn't mean you can just change the actual meaning of a word to suit your beliefs.

My question is that being that God is omnipotent and knows everything, then that also means that when he created Lucifer, for example, he knew Lucifer was going to betray him and create all this evil, but he went ahead and created him anyways...?

NO remember its "nucular" by how bush and all those fucking irrational people say it. remember?

Facetious

Moderated
My thoughts on God are that the activist anti - faith people seem to talk about God more than anybody I know including those who subscribe to faith. :D

Talk About Sex, Money or Politics, but leave the religious or areligious views at home, please thank you very much. There are sites out there for both, you know. :helpme::D

I find it funny that there is a religious discussion on a porn site obviously by Christians - a religious group that are sexually repressed.
Any sex worshiping pagans here?

No one changed the meaning of the word. Except the people on the sites you gave.

People like the one responsible for the site you gave twist the words to deceive people.

I wouldn't go to their church. They are corporations (501c3).

Ask them about that next time someone comes up to you.

I don't see why people blame God or end up denying God after they hear someone innocent has gotten hurt or killed. Instead of blaming God, why don't you do something about the evils in the world like help the hurt, feed the hungry, save the dying, or even appreciating your life. Also if you wanna blame someone, blame the humans that create all of these evils.
