Nobody can prove that God exists
not currently, but maybe one day. but we can never prove it doesn't exist, ever. that's the point. one you could at least potentially prove, the other it is impossible to prove.
Nobody can prove that God exists
If there is a God, I really don't know.
The only thing I know, is my experince from 18 years ago (sorry if it's too personal, they are just my thoughts):
When I was almost 20 years old, it was a cloudy day in November.
I was a fanatic at sport, almost practiced a lot of sports you see on TV.
Well, because of the weather wasn't that great, my father decided to go cycling.
"Come on son, join me."
"Nah, cycling season is over and it's going to rain in a few hours!"
He was a bit dissapointed, that was probably the reason I reconcidered my decission and joind him.
He was happy.
During our trip, we made a tour of 60 km's.....40 miles, I guess.
Almost home, I decided to speed up a bit. My father couldn't stay with me ( I was going too fast) and I was not paying attention enough at the traffic.
A car hit me, the driver of the pick up truck was driven too fast and I wasn't watching good enough and I got to the hospital, bleeding everywhere and almost dead for the next 48 hrs. It must be scaring for my parents and sister, I was totally "out" and couldn't remember a thing.
Well, the result were that I was still alive, partly paralized and during the revalidation getting pretty well.
I couldn't remeber a thing and when I asked the medocal people HOW it was possible that I was still alive,. the couldn't give me the proper answer.
For me, there are a few explanations:
1. I was in a really good shape and I was young of age;
2. I had this "drive" to survive, but I wasn't there.
For me, it means that someone was watching me and didn't want to accept that I was going to dy.
I truly believe there is somone or something that is watching over peopele who really needed it at a particular moment in their life.
Call it a "God" or call it something else, if you believe in it and you doesn't hurt or disrespect others with that thought, it's okay.
"Stay strong and live happy and healthy!"
Regards,
Eric

So, if archaeologists discovered an ancient scripture that translated to something along the lines of...
"The Bible is a work of fiction. Jesus was a real person, but he was not the Son of God. He was just a regular person who was viewed as being a prophet. Even Jesus himself has acknowledged that he is just a man and nothing more. The Apostles are all fake and were nothing more than an idea that was conjured up by Jesus to help sell the story to the world. The stories found within the Bible are all fiction. God is just a character that Jesus made up."
...then there was plenty of documented evidence that supported the claim and the world's most brilliant historians all agreed that everything was legit, are you saying that wouldn't be proof enough that God doesn't exist?
Now how exactly could we prove that their is a god one day? I don't think we ever could?

trick of the devil.
I had an automobile related incident myself once: Long story short, my mom swerved to miss a woman drving a tractor that turned in our lane without warning and went off road and the car flipped. I was thrown out of my seatbelt and my head came within 3 inches of going through broken glass and hard ground..it was in October. Something saved my life, but that something also took my mom from me exactly 8 years ago today. At some point in my life I would say it was God, but I'm not as blind as those religious nuts. Yes there is a higher power, but not God as in the Bible.
Chef? What did he get banned? Man, for this thread?
But you know what we can prove is false. The bible. If that was true which it isn't there would be artifacts. There isn't even proof of a "Jesus" Yet millions of people believe they can talk to him.
It's like if you added fairy tales to the bible stories they would still believe them. It's funny you can come up to a religious christian nut and ask them if they believe in Santa Claus and they will tell you no, thats impossible right one man delivering billions of kids presents in one night. Now one guy listening to millions of people murmur to him at the same time I get.
You could say the same exact thing about people who believe in God. Even if you showed them rock solid evidence that God didn't exist, they would still say you were wrong.
That is the exact reason why religious authorities don't have answers; they only have cliches.
"Pastor, can you prove that God exists?"
"You just have to have faith."
"If you believe...then God exists."
"Just read the Bible and you'll find your answer."
:rubbel:
Like the dinosaurs?
Because He's supposedly a loving and forgiving God. Plus, He apparently made all of us, so if we don't believe in Him, then it's His fault.
truth.
The holy babble is just a book of ancient fairy tales written 30 to 70 years after the supposed death of christ at the earliest!
so why does God let little kids die from cancer but save your life? does God like you better?
