haha a million times. I had friends over for dinner one night and we made pizza and calzone and I had some dough left so I made a dessert pizza with grapes and pine nuts topped with sugar and olive oil...put it in the oven and too much wine made me forget it. when we realized it was waaaaaaaaaaaay too burnt and such a huge pisser!

Hey Mariah, I love your posts and you seem to be pretty good in the Kitchen. Will you ever consider opening a restaurant or a diner? I'm pretty sure anything you do, you will succeed with it.

thanks for that vote of confidence! :) I actually have thought about it and it is something that is in my 10 year plan. I want to open a very exclusive but small marina with hotel and restaurant in the Exumas in the Bahamas

I took my boat out on Tuesday and did a little fishing and hit the jackpot with some huge Spanish Mackerel! The biggest I caught was 35 inches
They ended up being a great meal....

then became....

I am having trouble seeing a fish in that first picture.

I went to my favorite place for Sunday brunch they have everything you could imagine but my favorites are the Belgian waffles with real vanilla beans topped with homemade whipped creme and dark chocolate chips....

then for dessert they have homemade waffle bowls which I filled with vanilla and pumpkin swirl ice cream (homemade!) topped with more whipped creme

they also had these little custard cups with a variety of flavors from standard vanilla custard to key lime pie and chololate silk

afterward, we went out onto the deck overlooking the marina and had fresh blueberry mojitos that are honestly the BEST drinks I have EVER had in my life!

it's my normal sunday morning spot for more than 5 years...., and if I'm in town that's where I will be.

hey guys...been a while.

tonight I made some crazy good stuffed pork chops! I had my butcher cut me 4 double thick loin
chops which came out to be about 1 1/2 inches thick.

I brined them all day with sea salt in a ziplock. Once i brushed the salt off, I sliced a little pocket in each and then used the
tip of the knife to deepen the pocket.

I then rolled some proscuitto and horseradish cheddar around a cubanelle hot pepper (SUPER HOT!)
and stuffed the chop. I seared them on each side in a hot skillet to crust them then put them in the oven
on 450 for 20 minutes.

while those cooked I melted some butter in a pan and fried some apple slices.

As well I heated some olive oil in a skillet and put some asparagus and a half cup of white wine

I served it with a side of raw horseradish and dijon mustard

seriously this was AMAZING!

Hot in the chops and the sweatiness of the Apple. I have never thought of putting hot in my chops. That is something to add next time I get chops. Thick ones are so easy to find at a good price around here. Don't need Apple sauce, just cut an Apple. Simple and fast. Flavors balance. Works great.

You may think about a hotline. Talk about food with me for $2.99 per minute. "Got your pan nice and hot? Drop that butter in. Don't be shy now. Just chop those onions till I tell you to stop...". You'll rake in some good bucks.

Made this a few nights ago

put apricots and pears in a glass bowl with raw sugar and vanilla extract and juice from a tangerine and tossed it until the fuit was coated with the mix.

poured it onto a baking pan and roasted it in the oven for 25 minutes at 425 degrees.

plated it and topped it with hagen daaz vanilla bean ice cream. garnished it with brown sugar, pomegranate seeds and toasted walnuts.

seriously fucking delicious!
