would the op have a problem if hume had said "turn your faith to allah"?

1st amendment, he can say what he wants on his behalf.
hume seemed sincerely touched about the man losing his family and gave some advice which he felt would help.
and he didnt even push it.
what kind of intolerant douche would find fault with that?

so hellraiser you can denounce christianity all you want nowadays in the media, but you cant promote it or even suggest it in the slightest without being condemned?
bullshit.

Why does Fox allow its hired talent to intertwine Christianity and Politics on air? Isn't there supposed to be separation between Church and State? What percentage of Brit Hume's on air time is allocated to covering Politics or Political issues?

When did Fox news become the "State"?

"Separation of church and state is a political and legal doctrine that government and religious institutions are to be kept separate and independent from each other"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Separation_of_church_and_state#Use_of_the_phrase

State refers to the set of governing and supportive institutions that have sovereignty over a definite territory and population.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sovereign_state

Would everyone be all up in arms if someone on MSNBC said this, like maybe Pat Buchanan

Best line was Pat's at 3:40 "Do we really want political correctness or do you want Brit Hume to tell you, when you ask him, what he thinks?"

When did Tiger Woods become politics?:dunno:

It's all just TMZ/National Inquirer bullshit and ALL the news channels do it. Fox is right wing and there is nothing wrong with that. All the other "news" channels lean left, so what? Hell watch them all and form your own opinion. I guess that I like doing things the hard way and think for myself instead of letting the media do the thinking for me.

Damn I'm a sucker.:(

It matters if a "news" outlet dedicates 99% of its on-air time and talent to discussing politics and political issues. Doesn't Fox's Sunday program discuss politics 99% of the time?

If Brit Hume went on The 700 Club and voiced that opinion, there wouldn't be any criticism whatsoever.

Messages, stories, and on-air opinions that reinforce the same messages: Christianity, Guns, Warmongering, hate Liberals, simply become propaganda.

Maybe Tiger doesn't need religion at all and Brit Hume should keep personal opinions about celebrity's personal lives to himself.

Will Brit offer an opinion that a celebrity shouldn't ever turn to Christianity on that program at some future date?

*Sigh*

Another helldoucher thread that just massacres the board's yet again.

I think he has only said Neocon once this thread though so that's pretty amazing!

JackNDouchbag is a Conservative in theory but a NeoCon in practice...what a shame

Jesus Tapdancing Christ... Do you even have the slightest awareness of what a gigantic fucking dumbass you make yourself look like? Seriously. Nobody takes you seriously. You're a complete joke. Everyone laughs at your raging ignorance. Get a clue, monkey boy; you're the village idiot who no-one respects.

Obviously you take me seriously enough to say all that NeoCon psychobabble in that lame post of yours

No, I take you about as seriously as a wad of toilet paper I wipe my ass with, which honestly, is a rather good analogue for you, now that I think about it.

^ He doesn't take me seriously yet he bumps this thread once again

To each his own but I take the wad of toilet paper between my hand and ass pretty serious when I wipe.:o

Well, I don't watch Fox news and this forum is the first I've heard of this story..... the clip that Jason282k posted is the only I've seen. With that being said I think this is really funny. How is this even considered news? Is Christianity the new "N" word or something? :1orglaugh

Yeah, it was in "Jesus: The Musical" an off-broaway production. Hugh Jackman played the role of the tapdancing Jesus. I think Andy Dick played Mary but can't be certain.

he just mentioned it tits, he didnt push or preach it.
so humes a christian, he gave woods 10 seconds of personal advice.
i see so much blatant biased in the media these days that to me this is small potatoes compared to other news folks expressing their beliefs and opinions.

he did kinda diss buddism i think, which wasnt cool but its not a big thing, buddist wont be going on any jihads over it.
