No, they have "enacted" a lot of unconstitutional laws.

Look at the "Patriot Act" for one, then look far back into court records.

Now go look at jasonk282 comment.

It is a United States federal law and federal law originates with the Constitution, which gives Congress the power to enact statutes for certain limited purposes like regulating interstate commerce.

Therefore if it orginates in the constitution how can it be unconsitiutional?

I suppose the US DOD is illegal too....it was enacted by congressional law and the appointments are "answerable only to the president" too.:1orglaugh

The news only has to tell the truth by a code of ethics, it's not against the law for them to lie or at least exaggerate the truth. If it was, magazines like People, National Enquirer, etc, would have been gone a long time ago. Of course they can't lie about anything major like making up a terrorist attack or bomb threats because that could endanger lives by causing a panic. Hopefully they'll just lose viewers but they won't.

Plus, I'm sure this has been mentioned above, every news station at least exaggerates the truth or scares the public so they keep watching. Swine flu wasn't that big of a deal but according to every news station, it was going to end the world. That's why I hardly watch the news at all anymore. I watch Daily Show and Colbert Report and I'm satisfied.
