at the meetup i had before halloween, there was some dude there who was playing the one shot D&D game i was running, right? i had like 9 players at once and it was super cramped so he sat kinda far away and was rolling on the counter.
he kept telling me he was rolling 20s the whole time. what a fucking liar. i couldnt see and he knew that.
then, he kept going on about pathfinder. grrr... i **** pathfinder so much now.

I´ve never actually used those dice, they´re too small for me, its more of a novely item, look at my box of a crapload of tiny tiny dice.
The dice I generally use are posted earlier in this thread, extra big, I **** not being able to see what I´m rolling. And lets face it, failing a roll at a critical moment can provide a hell of a lot more entertainment than stomping everything.

So, I'm back from another Conception.
I ran 4 Paranoia games over a period of 3 days. My throat hurts like hell, and I'm tired, but fun was had and loads of hysterical laughs. I believe my table was one of the loudest, and my sign up sheets were never left with any open slots because of it. That makes me a happy camper.
Here's some photos I took during this year's con. These are of the cottage and the beach view...if the cliff broke off in the sea we'd have gone with it.

Hmmm...looking at those pictures it makes me think, "It sure is nice to be somewhere that isn't -6 degrees F and snow covered right now."
For an Alpha Complex punishment system, maybe instead of that person and all possible future clones being terminated, they should have to reach into and eat from a similar container filled with raw vegetables. (without the benefit of being ***** to numb the taste of them.) :yesyes:
Looking closer at that second to the last picture, the person on the left in the middle that's hidden doesn't have the party hat on. I would have to think that's some sort of ********* of friend computer, and the happiness maintenance person of the group needs to step up their game. For shame.

first off, welcome back to the land of windmills and bicyclist, i hope you had a great time.
secondly, why are those cottages so nice and with a sea view? im jealous. the only cottage ive been to, let alone seen, has been cottage cheese. next!
thirdly, why does everyone look so happy? or are they trying out to be the next walmart mascot?
fourthly, (is that a word?), i dont know why but i pictured arkham horror looking a lot different. dark, in a house, etc etc.
fifthly, (that can't be a word...), thats funny. good show. gives me ideas, the candy thing.
and sexthly, (i made that one up.), anders has been very bad while you have been away. you dont want to know the details but he demanded to sit at your desk and wear women's clothing. he even gossiped with regina about boys. yeah, i dont get it either.

The reason the one guy doesn't have the party hat on is because they're multi colored. So unless specifically ordered by the current team leader (there were many this session as a blue citizen with a clipboard would come by and take surveys about their performance of their roles), he wasn't putting on the hat.

Cool place to cottage. Arkham looks like a long game? Looks like one would need a big table top for that game too....or 2 small ones
Average time it takes is about 4 hours, which is the amount of time in a slot at the con. So it's a perfect to run as a boardgame at this con. However, we did have some "issues" with spaces as you can see. If we'd have brought the expansion we have, we'd need even more space. If you run with ALL expansions, you need a banquet table. o-O
But it's loads of fun. My hubby ran it all con and never had a spare seat, so success. ;-)

Oh man this is great! I started playing with I was a little ***, which was pretty rare for a girl. First I had some little box set, then 2nd edition, then 3, 3.5 and 4. I feel like im the only person out there who actually likes 4th edition. Gotta find an LA group to play with!
