dungeons and dragons (D&D) anyone?

A demon appears, in a pentagram. Then you have some idiot decide to take a flying leap at it, dissolving the pentagram in the process. Now there's a demon loose in a big magical fortress with all sorts of things you don't want demons fucking with.

Brilliant Anders, fucking brilliant.

Oh yea, and he managed to piss off the librarian. Pissing off potential allies and contacts one at a time.

I´d just like to point out that I was making a heroic leap to save a member of our party at the risk of my own life....

And yeah... I never claimed to be good at this sort of shit as should be blatantly obvious by my current track record.

First character I get, dead within 40 minutes.

Second character, dead within a few session.

Working on my third now.

speaking of demons... this past halloween, my girl and i watched all the hellraiser movies. we never saw them before and found out they werent that bad.

however, shes not one for scary movies at all. she gets really scared. so, fast forward til recently.

her and the other players are in a dark forest. i had the lights off, candles, scary ambient music, the whole nine. well, someone finds treasure half buried in the earth. everyone gets some of it. well, my girl got a small black puzzle box. she didnt catch on what i was doing until she succeeded with a DC 17 thievery check to open the damned thing.

it began to click, rotate, and spin. her face was priceless when a demon came out and threw some chains and scythes at her..

fucking pinhead in my D&D game. fuck yeah.


also, not to make this too long, but i managed to scare the shit out of one of my new players. he's scared of ghosts in real life, so... i exploited that as an good DM should. i described this super spooky woman, with long black hair in a white dirty dress. she had no face expect for a red slash for a mouth.

without further details.. it freaked him out. especially when he blinked and it was face to face with him. before that, if was still as could be.

complaints of nightmares have soon followed.

meaning: i did my job right.

I think we got an hours worth of gaming in total yesterday. The rest of the time was spent bullshitting about other stuff.

well, we did get shit done. but.. i left out the part last night about laughing our asses off at the Hamburgler..... that killed quite a bit of time.

no, you don't understand....they managed to avoid playing pretty much from 16:30 until dinner time....they got "some" shit done afterwards but only because there wasn't any threat of imminant death.

Now they have to wait 4 weeks till the next game since I'm play testing a new Paranoia scenerio in 2 weeks.

Anybody that has read anything about fantasy stuff for like the last 40 years knows that was a big no no. :1orglaugh It must be so much fun to have him as a player, when you get playing time done anyhow.

Before Ander's and the rest of the group got to the area, I was trying to convince one of the characters to make a deal with the demon (he's demon hounded, so he'll see the succubus again). Even my hubby knew better than to fuck with it and I wasn't convincing him of shit.

I really need to look over his flaws and see what I can use against him.
