Coronavirus

Does your arm hurt yet? I go for my 2nd Pfizer Thursday.

Not at all. The second one caused some arm pain in my wife and sister-in-law. I'm a hearty fella but my wife likes to pamper me and made sure she was off on the day I get my second shot. I'm not worried but I'll enjoy the pampering.

Good luck with your second shot, gmase. You'll be fine. Kick back, get something good to eat, and watch something fun on the tube.

I'll have work to do. :) Or boobies to find.

My wife offers me hers and wouldn't appreciate me prowling around looking to honk some strange lady's boobers.
Mine wouldn't either. I don't have to look to hard to find them.

Of my wife and myself I only had a little arm pain for a short while after the second shot. Wife had no issues. Son-in-Law who is 29 had a more difficult reaction for a day or so. Upset stomach, arm pain, exhaustion. The next day he was fine.

Work on finding these brown bombs. Those nipples look like cupcakes.

Catching Covid-19 after being vaccinated isn’t a myth. It happened to me

My daughter said the other day that a friend of hers who lives in Vegas was vaccinated and has developed a moderately bad case of Covid.

Finally got my first Pfizer shot. Canada is lagging behind other G20 countries in vaccinations and we're seeing it with a vicious 3rd wave in Ontario and other provinces. Sucks when you've got no in-country ability to produce vaccines and have to rely entirely on imports.

This is some serious shit. Countries like Canada have even banned flights from there.

The question is, how do you vaccinate 1.3 billion people? Especially when so many of these people live in rural, hard to access areas? No matter how many vaccination centers you set up, many people aren't going to easily access them.
It takes a month just to run an election "day", and that's just the voting age population and just recording a vote. Imagine having to administer a shot...and doing it twice!

Throw in the turmoil with the farmers and other societal issues and it's not hard to see that it's likely going to get worse before it gets better.

Yeah, and among the many ripple effects of this, India is a big vaccine producer of an Astra-Zenica clone I believe that a lot of other countries are relying on. If I were India, I wouldn't be doing a lot of exports right now. I've wondered for a long time how India hasn't been decimated by COVID, now it's happening. Apparently $80 oxygen canisters are selling for $1000 now in India.

I would suspect that India's vaccine exports will depend on who is making the most money from them. My observation of India in general, like China, is that the individual citizen is not valued as in other countries. Just my observation as I said, no real knowledge to back it up.

I think it has, but we just weren't allowed to see it.
Have you seen how they ride buses and trains there? I just don't see how it's possible to socially distance in a place like that.

One saving grace is that there is a huge agriculture industry (around 50% of the population), so "working from home" may not have been an issue for many. Although getting your goods to market & just running daily errands safely is another question.

My employer went out of it's way to arrange free vaccinations (both shots) for all it's hundreds of employees that wanted them with local medical professionals and had nurses come to the facility so nobody even had to go anywhere to get the vaccine.

Counting those that were already vaccinated with those that agreed the take them up on the offer the company I work for didn't even make 50% compliance among it's workforce, and that's after the process was made as easy and convenient as possible for them. Too many people are stupid.
