Killer B

I Like Big Tits! (song by Joe Walsh)
Canada gets their first medal ... Mark McMorris takes bronze in the new snowboard slopestyle event. Although he was considered a gold medal favorite, it's still a good result considering he broke a rib 2 weeks ago while competing in the X Games.

American Sage Kostenburg won gold and Norwegian Staale Sandbech took silver.

Fucking NBC. First Saturday of the Olympics, they're not showing it. Have to sign up for it to get it streaming, not showing anything. Fucking bastards.

I watched USA-Finland women's hockey live at 2 am last night. America is fast but they seem to play sloppy. Maybe I'm just so used to watching the men. It's a step down for sure but I think Canadian women are once again the favorites.

I think you're right. They seem pretty tight and disciplined. I'm hoping for two gold medals in hockey again for Canada. It's so much the national sport of choice, and so much of Canada's identity is tied up in it, anything but a gold is a disappointment, whether that's right or wrong, there it is.

Is somewhere outhere.
I've been watching it all day and will do again tomorrow.I think the best bits were the snowboard slopeside at the start, and the Norweigan guy in his 40s equaling the record for being the most successful olympic athlete. So it will be interesting to see if he beats the record later on.

Don't start with me with that.

Personally I'd rather see the homers win on their soil than ever Canada, but first and foremost for the Yanks to finally get that third Gold in history. They deserve it after the Vancouver Games.

An interesting article though on how it's been difficult for both NA teams to capture Gold in Olympics. http://www.washingtonpost.com/sport...f0abb8-8085-11e3-97d3-b9925ce2c57b_story.html
